I went to a signing and the author dispelled the truths of brain trauma and what impact it makes on a person, how others have difficulty understanding it, and what lessons can be learned and applied to help others. The lackluster review I give this book is only due to the fact that it is simply written. This is a case in which I would have preferred a ghost writer to better tell the author's story. But do not get me wrong, this is a great effort brought through years of struggle to bring the importance of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) to light.
This book was truly inspirational to me. Being the spouse of a TBI Survivor, this booked was mirror like to what our family was facing. It gave me hope when I thought I had none, strength to know others were going through the same and courage to continue to help our family heal. The patience love and support that was shown on this book clearly helped our family to fight hard to make our life as normal as possible.
