A companion volume to Eiko by Eiko focuses on the influential Japanese designer's notable projects for the stage and screen from the last twenty years including Bram Stoker's Dracula, M. Butterfly, and Richard Wagner's The Ring of the Nibelungen.
I've never seen any of these films, nor any of these productions, but I was still blown away by the beauty and drama of these costumes and sets. Gorgeous stuff, such drama! This is a work well worth flipping through, and if you've seen some of these before certainly makes it better.
Fucking awesome. Eiko is a genius. This is a great book. Love her candor in this and her stories of working with Coppola. An excellent showcase for her work. I hope she comes back to Hollywood.
