Gift Wrapped For An East Oakland Thug
Winter is a 22-year-old soon to be college graduate that just got out of a bad relationship. She thought she had life figured out with her boyfriend Delante, but after two years of being together his biggest secret comes to her door, literally shattering the hopes and dreams she had for them. She told herself she was through with love and was only focusing on herself but that might not be the case when a handsome stranger walks right into her life.
Omari is 26 and is the go-to guy in East Oakland. He runs almost everything and nothing that happens in the town gets past him. The thing that he is most proud of is his beautiful six-year-old daughter but how she was conceived always put a bad taste in his mouth. Each time he thinks about his ratchet no good baby mama. Ever since she trapped him, he steers clear of women only using them for his pleasure and sending them on their way but when he stumbles across the beauty named Winter he is stuck between a rock and a hard place, and she makes him forget everything that he once lived by.
Frost, Winters twin brother is going through hell in this thing called life that he created all on his own. The only good thing he has going on is attending college alongside his sister and will be graduating with her soon. Everything else is causing unnecessary problems in his life that he doesn’t need. He ran off on the plug and finds himself dabbling with forbidden fruit and he doesn’t know if his family will approve of. Being that his daddy was the man back in the day he eventually goes to him for help, but will he be able to save him, or will it be too late after all of the chaos he caused?
Apryl is Winters one and only best friend. They’ve seen and done everything together as they have been knowing each other practically their whole lives. She too is about to graduate from college with her bestie and she couldn’t be happier. Apryl enters into a relationship, and she keeps his identity from Winter, but she feels that she has good reason, but does she? Once this person is revealed will it strengthen their friendship, or will it ruin it completely? Jeopardizing the sisterhood, they’ve built.
Secrets, lies, & scandal has the four of them in a whirlwind and has them stuck in turmoil for the holiday. It’s Christmas time and it’s supposed to be merry but for them it’s everything but that. Awesome
This short novella was indeed sweet. Twins Winter and Frost had everything they could ever want because of the things their pop did so to find out that Frost went behind his back trying to follow in his footsteps made him upset. So much was going on in such a short amount of time but they say when you know you just know and that's what happened when Omari first laid eyes on Winter from that very first day he said she was going to be his wife. Winter came into his life at the right time because his baby mama started to show her true colors she never wanted a child just the man that gave her the baby, so happy that Winter stepped up and was able to help the little girl I her time of need and things worked out as they should've.

Wrapped Up
I love how Omari and Winter connected, it was genuine. Now Frost was a trip, he knew that he couldn't handle being in the streets! I enjoyed Apryl & Frost relationship. They were all getting their education and family mattered to all of them! Frost and Winter birthday was Christmas day, but they were able to enjoy the holiday and not totally think of it as just their birthday, that's growth! Winter loved on Omari's daughter which was a plus as well! I hope to see more of them!

Okay Dayonna
I loved that this book was light and didn’t have all the typical things we would see in an urban book. Don’t get me wrong I love me some hood books but this book was what I needed out of a Christmas book. I loved Omari he is definitely bae. Winter was smart to open up to him cause he was exactly what she needed. I won’t give away too much but I will say good job Dayonna. I been waiting on you girl and you didn’t disappoint.

Pretty good book... WOW that Mia was nuts.... Too funny. Frost is very lucky that his sister was w the plug ... That could've gone totally left... Daddy Pena seemed like he was really cool.... Loved It 🥰
This was a good story, very fast pacedas long as you can keep up you’ll be good. It had some grammar errors. But, overall it was a cute lil story. I’m glad that it truly worked out for everyone in the end. I was so happy that baby TT received the love and attention she deserved for Winter as a mother figure in her life. Cute little Christmas book.

Although it was a great story it was very hard to enjoy.
Really needed to be edited a lot better . Frost needed to grow up and be a grown man. Even though he stepped up with the baby and Apryl he needed to handle his business. Omari was book bae fr. I loved the way he was all about Winter and Tierra. That baby moma needed a foot in her ssa fr. It still was good book.

This books was good. The cover is what drew me in but the fact that it was a happy book with a happy ever after is the best part about it. My first read by this author but I will be checking out more.

Yesss come thru with it. I loved how this book wasn’t sad at all. There was some moments that had me giving the side eye cause these characters had a couple few secrets but overall this was a bomb read. I really enjoyed it. Welcome back Dayonna !

This book was great!! I love how there was nothing negative about this book. Each character lived happily and every character support each others choices and decisions. Definitely worth the read. Absolutely loved it, first read by this author and I’m definitely reading more. 💜

Good Read
Storyline was interesting but there was so many errors that they stole from the storyline. I love happy endings and this one definitely had a happy ending.
