Steven Cooper is a freelance writer, producer, and the author of three previous novels. A former television reporter, he has received multiple Emmy awards and nominations, a national Edward R. Murrow Award, and many honors from the Associated Press. He taught writing at Rollins College (Winter Park, FL) from 2007 to 2012. He currently lives in Atlanta.

Having read the description on the back cover, I had concerns that there would be dry, jaded, typical gay humor. And it was, because the first 20-30 pages were exactly as I expected. However, wait, let's make that HOWEVER, once the story got cranked up, the ennui disappeared. I was pleasantly surprised with how entertained I was, as well as how well the story clicked along. It's either perfectly written, or the editor(s) were extremely tidy and focused. I'll definitely read another Steven Cooper book.

This witty, comedic novel about a dead gay reporter is a definite page-turner. Written by Emmy award-winning reporter Steven Cooper, I do wonder just how many of the jibes were taken from personal experience.
