Obtained an old copy published in 1909. Excellent as a companion guide or just a reference book for the Dickens fan to "dip into". A synopisis of the various works of Dickens precedes an alphabetical index offering both descriptive quotes and a general overview of the various individuals and localities in the novels. Particularly invaluable in recalling the quirky minor characters that give so much flavour to Dickens books.
