3rd of the series and I just finished all three. They weren't more than mediocre reads and the heroines in all three were just plain annoying with the stupid decisions they'd make to walk into danger or accept someone's word as if they'd gone brain dead momentarily. The men were only okay and at some points, a bit too mean toward the heroine.
The other thing I found disturbing is that Cameron likes to write about the sex scenes between the villains which are always twisted, weird, and just plain disturbing. Totally unnecessary to include them in the story as it doesn't add anything.
Polly Crow 27, unmarried mother of Bobby 7 p 10, stars in childrens' TV show, fears whispered phone calls. Whisperer attacks her. Limping on ankle, Xavier p 153 'Nasty' Ferrito 36 ex-Navy Seal p 76 protects them. Bobby's dad is addict Sam Dodge. Someone kidnaps Bobby.
Polly and Xavier share increasing hot passion. Other couples have deviously warped vile abusive erotic affairs. That makes the number of suspects almost everyone except maybe Xavier's best friends Dusty and Roman, Polly's eccentric mom Venus.
Polly is stupid, ignores common sense advice. Every time she sneaks away alone from Xavier, she is attacked.
This is the first book I've read by Stella Cameron and I've go to say her books have the most twists and turns. Her stories keep you on your toes and even when you think you know who the bad guy is, your wrong. The character's back story isn't developed but you grow to love each of the main characters quickly and you can't wait to see if they'll be together.
Set in Seattle. Girl meets guy. He’s an ex-Navy seal who has Colombians after him. She’s a children’s TV personality who has met the wrong guy, as the people she works with are working for the Colombians and aren’t happy they are together. Suspense, true love, etc. Not too bad.
Story line too convoluted, multiple twisted physcos after one woman, a woman who knows shes in danger yet wont listen and constantly puts herself in danger.
