Morgan had spent one wonderful week in Aruba. She met Bryan Cailborn. When Morgan got back home she found out that she was pregnant. She started contacting Bryan, but never got a reply. When she did get a reply Bryan said he didn’t know her. Morgan was a music teacher. Her school district had to let her go because of budget cuts. Morgan packed up everything and moved to Chicago. She was going to see Bryan face to face and no one was going to stop her! When she got to Bryan’s office, his sectary said that he was busy and told her to make an appointment. Morgan barged into a conference room, and asked to see Bryan. This handsome, tall man that she had never seen before said I am Bryan. Before she could retreat, her water broke, and her contractions were painful, keeping her rooted to where she stood. He picked her up and took her to his office and laid her on his couch. When she was in the office she saw a picture of the person she knew as Bryan, with the man that just said he was Bryan. She pointed and said that is Bryan, I want to see him now. Bryan said that is my brother Dillon, and I’m afraid you can’t see him. Dillon died 6 months ago. Dillon would often take trips and use his brother’s name, and his credit cards, leaving Bryan to clean up his mess. The ambulance came, and Bryan asked Morgan who he could call for her. She said no body. Morgan was an only child, and both of her parents had died the month before Morgan took her trip to Aruba. The Cailborn family was very wealthy, so everyone thought Morgan was there as a gold digger. In truth she was there because she wanted her son to know his family. This story really touched my heart. When everyone finally trusted Morgan to be who she really was, everyone loved and accepted her. I loved it the first time she met Bryan’s parents. There were tears shed. They really wanted to be grandparents to Brice. I couldn’t put this book down until I was finished with it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Here a small sample of chapter 11, that I find holds a lot of truth to it. It is the best advice. - "Proposing marriage shouldn't make sense, Bryan. I know you've been hurt. I know what happened to you must have made it very hard to trust again. But marriage should be about love. You should want to marry the person you can't imagine living without.
Morgan got pregnant while on vacation to help cope with the loss of her parents. She met the fun loving guy " Bryan" and happened to get pregnant. Morgan has been trying to contact him since she found out she was pregnant. He ignores the calls so she goes to visit him but realizes that the guy she was with lied about his name and the real Bryan has no idea who she is. When she discovered she was deceived and her baby's father was dead, she was shocked but the hero was right there to help her pick up the pieces.
THE EPIC PART
When she is trying to process all the things ,She goes into labor in the boardroom and is taken to the hospital. And the sometime sad story turns into love story.
I give this story 4 ½ stars because it really touched my heart: it made me smile & it made me tear up. Ms Braun did a wonderful job in developing both characters, Morgan and Bryan, who were brought together by very unusual circumstances. Yes, it was predictable, but at the same time it was well written, full of emotions and so very romantic.
This was my 4th book by this author and my favorite so far. Brava to Jackie Braun!
Total waste of time. No real ending. It ending abruptly No happily ever after. Nothing.
Here's the thing. I dont write reviews but im seriously annoyed with this book. spoiler ahead.
So i was enjoying this book even tho its not steamy or romantic. nor does it give u details on how she became pregnant or her true feelings of what she felt that led up to her one night stand or why she slept with her one nightish stand.
And its ok i was willing let those lack of details slide. But then when she starts to move on and try to have a relationship with the hero. It ends with a marry me?. And Bam end of story. No details on wither or not they truly end up together not even a beggining into their relationship.
It went from her kinda disliking the hero to all of a sudden she's in love.... How???? Heck he all of a sudden desided he liked her and went straight to asking for marraige and the end of the story. Thats it. The whole romance... Its not even romantic at all.
The book starts right off the bet. The heroin comes looking for the man that impregnated her. Instead she finds his brother. He claims his brother the father of the heroins baby is dead. She goes into labor right then and there. The hero is suspicious of her motive. He thinks she is a gold digger.
Te heroin basically draws him in and they fall for one another.
The ending was a bit sudden for me and i did not like that.
I generally find the dead sibling/ living sibling trope a tad icky, particularly if it's been a long-term relationship but fortunately this one wasn't and I think it worked well.
A good opening, I really liked the heroine and once you understood the Hero, his lack of trust was quite understandable. The ending was a bit abrupt that's obviously due to the word count. Worth reading.
In this book, Bryan and Morgan meet after she crashes his office looking for her baby daddy. She mistakenly thought it was him, but soon learns the man she's looking for gave her a fake name, is Morgan's brother, and is dead. Then she goes into labor, right there in his office. Bryan assumes Morgan is a gold digger and due to past history with his own lying, cheating ex spouse, doesn't trust her. But he feels responsible and helps take care of her and the baby. He starts to trust and realizes that maybe not all women are like his ex.
This got much better after Bryan started being a lot nicer to Morgan. I didn't like how he treated her at first. But as they grew closer, I started liking him more and more. Sweet story.
I loved Bryan and Morgan's story it was great. She goes into labor in the boardroom and is taken to the hospital. I loved how the story progressed from their and the romance that was built from there.
Lo que mejor define a la historia es "entre libros" porque es corta y entretenida aunque le falta algún momento más de romanticismo entre los protagonistas pero esta bien si quiere desconectar de un libro antes de pasara a otro.
What best describes the story is "between books" because it is short and entertaining but lacks some point more romance between the protagonists but is fine if you want to disconnect from a book before passing to another.
Pregnant with the heroes brothers baby was a but much but the heroine was all alone since her parents death and she needed to get in touch with her babys side of the family. When she discovered she was deceived and her babys father was dead, she was shocked but the hero was right there to help her pick up the pieces.
This was a quick read however for me to believe in the HEA, I needed Morgan and Bryan to have far more scenes together. A lot of the book was skipping through time and acknowledging that they had not seen or spoken to one another. I also found that the dialogue was, at times, stilted and strangely formal. Yet I did continue with the book, it gave me just enough to read through to the end.
Típico libro de Harlequín, fácil de leer, sin mucha historias detrás pero que te hace disfrutar pudiendo pasar un rato agradable si no sabes que leer en un momento determinado, ya que al ser corto se lee muy rápido!!
I re-read this as part of my goal to review all of my old reads. I found this bleh. I just felt like there was no connection between Bryan and Morgan, and no real plot either. They barely interact and are suddenly in love. I just found it really bland and boring.
I liked this book. It was kind of funny in humiliating way to break water there. I liked the situations presented and the family emotions presented. Enjoy
The story was sweet and the timeline was believable but there just really didn't seem to be a lot of spark between the characters. I didn't really feel close to any of them which I know sounds odd, but I just feel like when you read you should feel connected to the people you're reading about, like you're there experiencing the heart breaks and accomplishments with them. Characters should feel like close friends or family, not like strangers you happened to learn a little about. These characters just don't offer that sort connection. It's a sweet story, just not really for me.
