The Mighty Boosh is funny, no really, the show is hilarious. I enjoyed some of this book. Some of it translated well into book form, some not so much. Revisiting memorable story lines from the series is where the book does it for me. Howard and Vince's voices really shine through as do the voices of their characters. (The email exchange bit was a favorite.) A quick read with various funny bits and some of the Magic the show produces- the backstage photos were a treat. Overall, I hope they continue to produce wild and wonderful comedy, because it is a breath of fresh air in a saturated field.

As a big fan of The Mighty Boosh I really enjoyed the 'Book of Boosh and fans and newbies will love this too. It's has all the main characters except oddly enough, The Spirit of Jazz. Full of surrealism, fun, colour, cartoons and stories. It reminds me of those 1980's annuals except this is one much is cooler! Like most say, it's perfect of the coffee table too.

As a book, a lot of this material comes across a bit nonsensical and rather flat; it really underscores how much this kind of humour rests on the delivery. Still, Noel's art is great as always, there are some interesting photos, and the "crimps" are depicted in a unique way. Special mention: "Howard Moon's Jazz Portraits", "A Turkish Challenge", "A Trumpet Full of Memories", and the (in)famous "cream" poem.

Self-indulgent surrealism (amusingly illustrated).

Definitely better in TV format but a nice reminder of the lovely weirdness of the mighty boosh.

Come with us now, on a pocket-sized journey through time and space...
Admittedly, I did rather skim through this, particularly the bits I remember from The Mighty Book of Boosh. But it was still good, and still had the essence of the Boosh within it's startlingly colourful pages.
Unfortunately, despite it's name, it isn't pocket-sized. The only pockets it'll fit into are those of Howard's tweed jacket.

Strictly for fans of the BBC's surreal, absurdist comedy series. Basically short stories and scenes written about and in the voice of various characters from the series. Highlights for me were stories from Dixon Bainbridge, Bubblegum Charlie and an email exchange between Saboo and Tony Harrison detailing the aftermath of a debaucherous party.

Wow, this is certainly an interesting book. My artsy side finds it to be a great collection of individual artistic moments. However, I can't say its a book I would normally go out of my way to read, as it was #gifted. To sum up my thoughts, it's very interesting, but I can't say it was my favourite thing in the world.
