I would have given this book 3 and a half stars. It’s a helpful compilation of the gospel accounts of the incarnation but nothing you wouldn’t find, more thoroughly, in other commentaries in this series. If you have other solid, reformed commentaries of the gospels I would say save your money - this is an expensive book.
That being said the appendices pertaining to considerations for conducting a biblical Christmas church series are undoubtedly helpful.

A great Advent book to read through to focus on the grace and wonder of God made Flesh. Jesus is Emmanuel, God with us.
