This was the exact balance of terrible and hilarious that I was looking for. This book had been sitting on my childhood chapter book shelf for years and I just had to pick it up for Nostalgiathon. The 90's phrases and weird Americanization of Sailor Moon was all bizarre and laughable, just as expected. Got a bit dull in the middle because it really is just a novelization of the 90's American Dub of the anime. But the horrible puns and hilarious 90's phrases kept me going!

First of all... why does Beryl look like that on the cover? Second, these are not good. They're cute but make me miss the show cause the girls are so mischaracterized here. Serena is flaky sure and whiny but she's not mean like she is depicted in these books. A weird way to novelize some random episodes.
