I picked up this book on a whim during a recent trip to my local library; and I very much enjoyed it despite it being almost two decades old. Like most bookworms, I love the Harry Potter series. It's a fascinating story and has proven to be timeless. However, HP wouldn't even exist had J.K. Rowling not pushed past her fear of sharing her story with people that could help her share it with the world.
J.K. Rowling, a poor single mother lived the rags to riches story. She knew in her heart that her dream job was to be a famous writer, but she couldn't find a publisher and it took her a while to notice that she should follow her dream job. So, after many months of searching for a publisher, she finally found a publisher willing to give her a shot and to read the rest of the book. Then, she became one of the most famous writers in the history of authors.
Granted this was written before the fifth book was released, but I learned a lot more about Jo then I would have other wise. This helped me learn things that I didn't know because I was a late bloomer to the whole HP experience. I missed early interviews she gave which were recapped in this book.
