The most useful professional reference for treating PTSD I have ever found. If I could only have five books on psychology on my shelf, this would be one of them. Matsakis does a masterful, thorough and organized job of examining different aspects of PTSD causes and symptoms and different approaches and phases of treatment, in concrete and easy-to-apply terms. Too many books on psychology are filled with fascinating theoretical stuff, but are silent on how to translate it into treatment techniques. This book is refreshingly free of that problem.
