I have already did a review of Dish series 1. Dish 2: Turning Up the Heat is the continued part of Dish 1: Stirring It Up. This book continuously talks about the bully Natasha and how Molly and Amanda becomes closer to her. I realized that you don't actually have to read the first edition: Stirring It Up. In the beginning, it introduces all the characters again, and what had happened in the first edition. That's why I was kind of annoyed, because the book treated me as a new reader, but I'm actually the "Fan" of this series. It had some stories like cooking for mom's birthday and other things, like it did on the first edition. This time, I want to talk about the second genre of this book, and which I forgot to mention carefully about it on the first edition. I would like to recommend this book to people who wants to cook, and interested in CHRIST LIKE ATTITUDES. When I was reading the beginning part of the novel, as I said author was introducing all the events from the first edition again. Then when it talked about how mom told Molly and Amanda to forgive what Natasha did for them, I suddenly pumped up. This is one of our christ-like-attitudes and what I studied about, FORGIVENESS!!! That time it make me realize why this is a christian novel. It's hard to actually see them in the story, but they are hidden really carefully. I think also the friendship is everywhere. Molly called Natasha to be friends with her, and twins never fought with their friends so far. I hope I'll find more in this edition
Did you wish you can cook gourmet meals? Cooking is creative, fun, and nervous. Nervous because you never know how the food will come out. Creative because you can make food out of different things. Fun because you get to make food. This book genre is adventure because they accomplish cooking without knowing they can cook. The books genre is adventure. If you like adventure books than this book is a book you will want to read.
The setting of this book is in the Moore's kitchen. They are starting a neighborhood cooking service and the setting is in the Moore's kitchen because the Moore's have a big kitchen.Amanda and Molly are twins .They wanted to cook food because they were tired of eating take-outs.They invite their friends Peichi,Shawn,Natasha to see if they can cook too. They decided to call their cooking service, the chef girls. But they run into objects like their parents, and money. Natasha and the girls don't like each other because either they're nice or they're bossy. But later on, the story the girls started to like each other because the Moore's mom told the girls to be nice to Natasha even though she's mean to them. The theme of this book is friendship because the girls try hard to be nice to Natasha even though they don't want to.They try to be friends with her because Moore's mom said ''If you are nice to her she might be nice to you''.
The title relates to the book because they are cooking and turning up the heat means to me they are trying new things and being adventures.Like for example-they are starting a cooking service.Being nice to Natasha. Asking Natasha if she wants to be in the cooking services with them.Inviting Natasha to more invents she does with her other friends. She invited her to help out at the party to make food for people.Asking to join her service with the chef girls.
I like the way the author try's to make this sound like a true story by Amanda having a crush and acting all cool around him.Like in real life when someone has a crush they try to act cool around them.I also, like the way the author describes the characters because she described the characters the way mostly nobody does. All the books i've read so far none of them describe them as well as she did to the characters.
I rate this book a 5 stars because the book was a one of a kind for me.I really like how the author was giving a lot of detail's about the character and about their life like Shawn's mom died and Shawn lives with his dad.I recommend this book to people who like to see that girls can cook. You should try cooking sometime like the chef girls. How creative can you be.
I have already read the first part of this story, Dish 1: Stirring It Up and I continued reading the second edition of the story Dish 2: Turning up the Heat. The second part is talking about the Amanda and Molly's summer vacation and how they spend their holiday with their friends Shawn and Peichi. They started to plane to do their own business based on cooking their favorite hobby. However, their friend Natasha started to destroy their plan but after that they started to become closer to her. I would like to recommend this book to people who wants to cook and I hope I find more in this edition.
I rated this book on the detail, the wrap up, and the entire plot of the story. I thought that this was a great book to read when you are bored. Dish is a great series so far and I can't wait tho read more of this series it has definitely been hooked on this series.
