Erin's close-knit family means the world to her, until she overhears a secret that makes her feel deceived and forces her turn to her friends and new boyfriend for comfort.
The Turning Seventeen series follows 4 best friends Kerri, Jessica, Maya, and Erin as they deal with all the fun, adventures, difficulties, and dramas of their senior year. Book 8 is from Erin's perspective, and at this point in the series, Erin is falling hard for her boyfriend, and it seems that her life couldn't be more perfect. That is until she discovers her family has been harboring a secret for years. In the midst of her own crisis, she is also trying to be there for Kerri, who is dealing with an unwelcome and frightening ordeal. I continue to love this series and I actually loved this one! If you want a series of stereotypically girly girl drama and gossip and love and friendship, then this series is a nice quick and easy read you'll enjoy. But especially this one! It contained a little less of the girly girl high school drama, and was more mystery and a tad bit more grown up problems. Loved it!
