This book came out the year our second son was born and was read and re-read many times while my three children were young. Don't know what happened to our copy of it, but I hope one of them read it to our grandchildren. What brought it to mind is our cat has been missing for more than three weeks, and in that time we have seen dozens of similar cats, listed as lost or found. His name isn't Chester, but might be changed to that if we ever get him back. Children enjoy the absurd humor and repetition in this book, and the illustrations are wonderful. It was always fun for us to read together. "That's Not Chester!" is definitely a keeper, and I wish they'd re-release it because used copies are currently not available anywhere I've looked.
