About the author

Caitlyn Scaggs is an entrepreneur, marketing professional, and dynamic communicator. In her current role, she serves as Executive Manager of New Hope Girls, a non-profit based in the Dominican Republic that fights human trafficking, exploitation, and cycles of abuse. Caitlyn is on a mission to positively impact others, advocate for the vulnerable, and embrace a joy-filled life.

From early beginnings as a police officer, her career has included founding her own marketing agency which was later acquired. Scaggs’ breadth of rich and meaningful experiences - from law enforcement, to delivering a TEDx talk, to serving as a University Associate Vice President and Spokesperson - have all helped shape her into the professional she is today.

Caitlyn also delights in being a mom and wife. She loves family game nights and taking road trip “adventures” together. Faith and family are her two priorities!

I was honored to be gifted an advanced reader copy of Caitlyn Scaggs' book, Worth It & Wonderful. It was a beautiful journey and reminder that God says we are enough – that we are worth it and wonderful. Throughout the chapters Caitlyn provides thought provoking questions to guide you through reflection on each chapter. She encourages you to apply her words and concepts in your day-to-day life. She challenges you to shift your way of thinking, that as a God follower, mother and working mom, we can live to our highest potential as God defines us and not as the world says we should be. Her story telling is relatable, encouraging and motivating. I’m so excited for the rest of the world to read this book, and I pray it changes lives just as it has changed mine.

Caitlyn is a bright and talented author whose career has taken many turns. She has faced many different challenges and she shares her personal triumphs and her walk with God. She draws wise observations from her life and asks thought provoking questions to spur each of us in our own journey. I was privileged to be pastor Caitlyn and her family for a season. Reading her book is like talking to her over coffee. It’s real. She’s real. She doesn’t put on airs and pretend. I encourage you to read her book and know it’s not the final chapter of her or your story. It has an end AND, through faith, it can also lead to beginnings in your life.

A book that will forever stay close by-whether that’s a coffee table or night stand. A book I want every friend of mine to read—but they can’t have my copy because I’ll never know when I might need it. I can pick it up and start a chapter in different seasons of life. This book doesn’t try to recreate the wheel by suggesting some outlandish ideas; instead it meets us where we’re at and shows how we’re able to walk with Him more than ever. I read this book and felt like I have succeeded in so many way, yet also have things to work on. The book is motivating and truly inspires me to believe that I am worth it and wonderful!

Not only is Caitlyn super relatable, but her writing is so thought-provoking and truly is a must-read for anyone who needs the reminder that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by God (because who doesn't regularly need that reminder!). In a world filled with books that tell you that you are wonderful because of what you've done and what you've accomplished, this book tells us that we are wonderful because of JESUS! Caitlyn does a great job of writing as if she's writing to a girlfriend or someone she's known her whole life. "Worth It and Wonderful" is written through a Biblical lens, and I highly recommend this book for women of all ages and in all seasons of life. You will love it!!!

Caitlyn has a way of writing that sucks you in. Her book is FULL of wisdom and practical advice. Drenched in her faith and love for others. No matter what phase of life you are in you will find something that speaks directly to you. What a wonderful journey, at times her stories will move you to tears and yet also bring laughter to your days. Worth It and Wonderful is a must read for anyone feeling a bit lost in their day to day or even just needing some major encouragement. 10/10 highly recommend!

This book is so beautifully written and anchored in Christ! It points you to Christ in all aspects of life and experiences. Chapter after Chapter I felt seen and heard. Chapter 5 relating to work and family so like it was written for me! This book helped with several struggles I am currently facing and helped point me to Christ and His foundation!
