Y'all I have no words. This was my favourite part for ACOWAR and if I could give it more than five stars, I would.

The graphic audiobook really captures the heart and soul of the book in Part 3. It starts with the war looming over and the wall being shattered, it's a constant event of action after that, it finishes with the war being ended.

I genuinely don't know where to being with, the cast has done an amazing job at narrating, the emotions that they bring out is chef's kiss. The sound effects during the war gave me chills. Feyre's cries towards the end and the Rhysand's pure emotions were a beauty to hear. We see other characters come in to play as well. One thing that really impressed me was the thud of Rhys' heart- towards the end You know after THAT scene👀

Rereading the series via graphic audiobook is fun but all it does is make me want to reread the books as well lmaoo 🙈

There are so many great moments in this one, I wouldn't know where to begin but the gist of it is- GET THESE GRAPHIC AUDIOBOOKS.

I cannot wait to get to ACOFAS- am hopeful I'll like it wayyy better than the book.

Sixth read/listen:
Oh boy. That one made me cry. Again.
My heart and my brain don't care that it's my sixth time reading (or hearing in that case) this book. I ugly-sob every. Single. Time. 😭 😭 😭

I still think that the final bargain Feyre and Rhys made is freaking stupid, though. Especially considering what the Bone Carver showed her. 🙄

This series is truly amazing. ACOMAF and ACOWAG are most definitely at the top of my all-time favorite books, but hearing this dramatized adaptation was something else. It was soooooooooooo good, I do not regret spending my money on this!

Now I just need to wait for SJM to finally write Lucien's HEA so I can listen to it and be happy for him. ❤️ 🧡 💛

I cry so much every time I read this book! I mean, big sobs and ugly red and tear-streaked face... That ending. It just kills me. Painfully. Every time. 😭

There is no word to describe how much I love this series. I went through so many emotions while reading it. I laughed out loud, I squealed from excitement, I raged, and I cried. It is truly a magical and fantastic adventure, and even though I’ve read it three times already, it’s still as good as the first time. This book is not as good as the perfection that is ACOMAF, but it is very close.

This book owns me, body and soul. It is packed with action, the characters can't seem to catch a break, and neither can I. I was at the edge of my seat for the whole ride; it was torture to put it down because I had to sleep or go to work. It would have been worth taking a sick day just to continue reading this book and enjoying every single minute of it. The last 100 pages are a real roller-coaster, the action, the stress, the non-stop heart-pounding… It’s an unputdownable book.

"She is High Lady of the Night Court. She may do as she wishes."

Feyre, Rhysand, and their court of dreamers are about to go to war. They need allies and resources, and quickly if they want to have a chance at stopping Hybern’s army, who’s ready to tear down the wall to enslave or slaughter everyone. Desperate as they are, their only chance is to try to unite the 7 courts against their common enemy, something that has not been done in thousands of years. No matter how hard they try, the King of Hybern always seems to be two steps ahead, with his army, his apparently limitless powers, and the power of the Cauldron itself.

Feyre and Rhys risk losing everything and everyone they hold dear, but they are both willing to pay the ultimate price to save the ones they love. Among all the action, scheming, and politics, they are trying to think about a way to protect their loved ones and to protect each other; their despair and fragile hope are woven throughout the book, making me love them even more than I did before.

“I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have … The wait was worth it.”

Sweet, selfless, and perfect Rhys. I love him so much.
I mean, I could repeat all the reasons why he is perfect, but I feel like I already said everything in my reviews of the first two books, so I will simply reiterate that I am in love with him.

I was also very happy to see more of Lucien in this book, but I still think that he deserves so much more! He is amazing, and it breaks my heart to see how lonely he is, how he is yearning for a love that seems to be out of his reach. He is trying to figure out where he belongs now that he is not welcome in the Spring Court anymore, and I just wanted to hug him so badly… He’s the best (after Rhys). I really do hope that he gets his book and his well-deserved happy ending.

I also like that we had the chance to see Tamlin as a more complex character, he is still a jerk, but at least he had more depth than in ACOMAF, where he was just an overprotective macho willing to do anything to get his perfect groomed bride back. I don’t like him yet, but I was able to connect a little more with him in the second part of this book and to appreciate his character a little more. The same can be said for Nesta. I appreciate her more after reading this book. I had forgotten how much her character changed in this book (in a good way).

I am obsessed with this series and the characters. Sarah J. Maas mixed so many different personalities in this series, from sweet and emotional to cold-hearted and creepy, and she has a way to make her characters feel so real. Their actions, thoughts, emotions, and banter, I wish I could be a part of their group.

"I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have............ The wait was worth it."

This was a freaking MASTERPIECE! This was the best audiobook I've ever listened too. I don't see myself consuming this book any other way going forward bc the experience of listening to this book this way was so amazing! It actually elevated my rating, bc when I read my hardcopy, I gave it a four star rating and now I wish I could give it more than five stars!

What really makes this book stand out it in this format above the other books are all the battle scenes and the fact that the cast of characters in this book is extremely large and having each one acted out distinctly makes this book so engaging and immersive. I didn't cry with my initial read of this book but this one legit made me misty multiple times just bc of the emotion the actors, it was absolutely brilliant.

Listening to Cassian crying while he tells Nesta “I have no regrets in my life, but this. That we did not have time. That I did not have time with you, Nesta. I will find you in the next world - the next life. And we will have that time. I promise.” ruined my life.

What an epic conclusion to the war

The graphic audio really captures every nuance needed to keep the audience engaged in the book. The cinematic way this was written makes me wish it was a movie 😭.

Did I cry? Oh yeah... I was bawling so hard I couldn't breathe...😭

SOOOO much happens in this book; I had to slow down the narration to capture it all, and even so, I had to replay scenes.

It was heartbreaking. It was amazing. It was epic. Sigh...

Now, on to the next book...

I'll write a full review for the book and link it here (when I get to it lol)

I DO wish we had seen more🔥 in this book, but I was still mesmerised and glued to my earbuds lol

I swear it gets better and better I love this series so to get to experience it again it’s amazing 🥰 even with knowing what’s to come I still had tears once I heard the way Feyre screamed it was over it I thought Nesta’s scream was emotional nope I was wrong. Just before the battle scene ended I had to pause it to take a break

I cannot say it enough this series is great this only makes it so much better everyone’s voices match the characters perfectly. The sound effects 🤌🏻 everything about this is amazing!

I would recommend this to anyone who’s a fan of the series even if you’re not just start it everyone should experience it at least once in their lives

The Story:
3.5 STARS
~~~~
Graphic Audio:
5 STARS!
I don't know what happened but this third part in this book just didn't hold my attention. It took me over 4 days to get through the last 2 or so hours. I don't think I was in a funk because I finished books in that time.
Overall, the story was interesting but I think the impression TikTok gave me of this series is starting to rear its ugly head. Everyone says how spicey and smutty this particular series is and how people who have never picked up *gasp* a romance novel are both horrified and in love with it because of the smut. Maybe it's because I've read (what seems to be) much better and "spicier" books that this one just isn't hitting like it has for so many people? Maybe it's that Graphic Audio has edited out most of it? I will never know because I will not pick up the audible unabridged version of this book/audiobook. I started this series thinking that this would probably be one of the best series I'd read this year and it's not looking too good now 😅
The graphic audio version is amazing! 5 stars all the way!
rating: ♾️⭐️
you’re going to need to give me time to formulate all my words.
………
This book was mind altering. I didn’t think ACOMAF could be beat but then I picked ACOWAR and I feel like there is a before and after this book.
It had me smiling and sobbing and just overall I felt like an emotional mess but in the best way possible. The infinity stars still stands.
As someone who was scared of even starting fantasy because of the world building, I’m enjoying that aspect of these books so much and almost enjoying the battle scenes and adventure more than the romance.
That being said, I obviously love the relationships in these books, the found family between Feyre, Rhysand, Mor, Amren, Cassian, Azriel, Nesta and Elaine. I’m just absolutely obsessed with this cast of characters and the graphic audio makes you that much more attached.
I can’t wait to start ACOFAS (especially with it being 200 pages) LOL
Anyway, read it, love it, yap about it. Can’t wait to make a post on the entire series once I’m done ❤️
For brevity I'm just going to copy my review from the book version:
Epic.
Silly, melodramatic, more than a few cringe-moments, skips over the most interesting parts, centuries-old characters who bicker like children.
I don't care.
Epic.
Wow!! Having been introduced to SJM has been a delightful treat. Glad for the introduction because this series thus far in dramatized adaptation is wonderful and explosive. I found myself turning up the volume during the climatic parts of the story and engaging the cinematography of the story in my head with all the surround sound making it worth the listen.
This third book captured all the characters...good or bad...that I did not know who to place my loyalties with among the characters... Rhysand, Tamlen, Hellian, or the other High Lords...such a tug of war. I think SMJ did an excellent job of pairing the narrators with the characters in the story to make it more believable between the love/hate interests and also the villains. This book had me smiling, laughing, sorrowful and crying...more heartfelt and cheering the underdogs on to rally for freedom and victory. There were twists and surprises in this story of the series but it was oh so good at the end.
I am a big Lord of the Rings fan and this story reminded me of the third in the trilogy "Return of the King" when gathering forces come together for a central cause to defeat the enemy. Definitely looking forward to the fourth and final in the series. Recommend the audiobook listen in dramatized adaptation...it is an experience. Big 5-Stars!!!
