Introduction -- Go toward the light / Harlan Ellison -- Homeland / Bill Messner-Loebs -- I, Gezheh / Clifford Lawrence Meth -- Under cover of night / Shira Daemon -- Last of the Mo Greenbaums / Sid Gevurah -- A l'chaim with Bru-Hed / Mike Pascale -- In the end / Neil Gaiman.
This is a nice chapbook from almost a quarter-century ago containing seven stories with a Jewish and speculative fiction theme. My favorite was the Harlan Ellison story, Go Toward the Light, which had a somewhat run-of-the-mill time-travel idea but was very nicely told. I also enjoyed Homeland, a nice Frankenstein tale. A couple of the stories were a little too obscure or unpleasant in my opinion, but it's overall a very nice volume in an unusual format that was a fun, quick read. The cover is a very nice Grey Morrow painting.
Picked this up due to Neil Gaiman's short story. I appreciated most of the other stories, but like most collections, some are stronger than others, or at least about topics I like more than others.
