Since his debut in 2003, Michael Bublé sold 18 million albums, won numerous awards—including a Grammy, and reached the top 50 of the Billboard 200 album charts with his first album Michael Bublé. His second album, the multi-platinum It’s Time , was more successful still. His performances and concerts worldwide have sold out, while he has cultivated a huge and loyal fanbase. Of Italian origin, and born into a family of fishermen in Canada, Michael was largely raised by his grandfather, whom he credited with introducing him to the kind of music he would make his own—Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Dean Martin, and Elvis, to name but a few. His popularity continues to grow, and this comprehensive and definitive biography charts his fascinating and phenomenal success story.
this biography was a great book and how it showed the life he went through. as Michael Buble started out as a nobody to the world, he lived up to be famous/ a star to the world as he grew up. If anybody likes biography books or nonfictional books, this would definitely be the book for you.
First I think that that I need to say that I really like Michael Buble's music, and his singing skills. He is one of my favourite male singers (though def NOT my favourite!), and so I was pretty keen to find out more about him and how he rose to fame. Now I know that I still like the voice but really quite dislike the person. : ) Honestly, I have never read a biography in which the biographer spends more time apologising about certain thing their subject says or does. It seemed like almost every second sentence was "Of course, this wasn't the real Michael Buble speaking...", or "...again, Michael was showing himself to be a family man at heart..." Not to mention he's got a mouth like sewer trap. Oh, swipe me, ain't we classy? So, reading this book, I have come to the conclusion that Michael is a genuine, laid-back guy. But he also appears to be arrogant, rude and very-well aware of who he is and his 'heart-throb' status. (????) I reckon he'd be alright once you got to know him, but personally I still much prefer Josh Groban.
Good biographies are best written by the person its about. It would feel more authenic because this book sounds like the Author is licking Michaels ass 80% of the time & telling what he way have been going through with the odd quote. It sounds like its meant for a teenage girl learning to read, same way as the West Life Biography was written unfortunately. We would like Bubles deep thoughts on zero to hero stories, why Frank Sinatra is a big part of him ect... On the good side this book has lots of nice pictures & is a easy fast read if you just want the basic story of Buble
I wasn't a big fan of this book. Probably because i'm not a huge fan of biographies. It is very informative about how Michael Bublés life began and how his career started.
