It's not perfect...and it's obviously been made redundant by time & more detailed works. But this is still the first major attempt at an actual, functioning, detailed "Doctor Who" encyclopedia...and there is no doubt that, like "The Programme Guide" that spawned it, it influenced an entire generation of fandom. Including myself...a devourer of such fact books, especially about my favourite program. After all these years, it remains one of the most concise & useful research tools one can find to classic "Doctor Who".
