Five stars mostly for the joy are reading something 70 years old that is wonderfully ranty.

Unhelpfully ranty is, like, 90% of the appeal. The punctuation rules are now obviously dated (but fascinating to put other work in context), and he doesn’t explain them particularly clearly.

The joy of it is in the rants. Furiously opinionated but in a wonderfully written way.

LABC: review the way he separates out by function to make sure all kinds are encompassed by syntactical/elliptical/conjunctive.
