This Little Golden Book reissue features Eloise Wilkin's chubby-cheeked babies discovering sounds around the house, from the jingle of Mommy's keys to the buzzing of Daddy's razor. This timeless classic, featuring some of Eloise Wilkin's best artwork, will delight little ones and their families as much as it did when it was originally published in 1960.
S current favorite book, I think I read it 4 times just today. It is catchy and cute, J and I can quote the whole thing from memory. Some of the lines don't flow well, but we love it anyway. Weirdly enough, the baby looks like both of my children 😂
This book is great! It has tyveky coated cloth feeling pages and darling plump baby portraits demonstrating different baby world onomatopoeia. Conrad loves it and recites it with me as we read and for hours here and there when we are through. It is not a hardcover book! The barcode on the back has a 0 to the left of it and 3350092070 underneath it. My edition, that I've had since I was a baby, has 8 pages, but I see some evidence online of there being another four pages...I hope the middle centerfold page hasn't fallen out and we've been missing it the whole time!
Cute... makes me wonder about times when baby things were just cute and not so gender specific. I really like Esther and Eloise Wilkins illustrations. This is another one from the Eloise Wilkins treasury.
This book was written in 1971, you are probably thinking well that isn't that long ago. Well funny thing that is the year I was born. That Little Golden Book is 50 years old. I have always loved Golden Books. This one is so adorable with the sweetest pictures. I read it to my granddaughter this morning.
My 2 year old and I read this story together in Eloise Wilkin Stories. I'm not crazy about the text, but the illustrations are darling, and these are what all of my kids so far have loved about it. This is a good choice for baby-obsessed toddlers, especially ones who have recently become older siblings.
I LOVE this cute little story. I love how it captures some of the most precious and innocent times in a baby's life. I wish I found such novel in these simple things - such as listening - as I did in my infancy/childhood. I loved reading this book with my son.
