Bear Nuts

Rate this book
As one of the largest exhibits at the Discount Zoo, (in both size and number of inhabitants) the bears attract a lot of attention... something none of them are happy about. Between gawking adults, jeering children, and their own rather profound personality clashes, it s a wonder the bears can get through each day without maiming each other... well, most days.

While great webcomics aren't that hard to find, it *is* somewhat hard to find one that has that something that can appeal to broad audiences & have the potential to sell in book format. This is one of those rare webcomics.

Bear Nuts follows the antics of a group of bears in a local zoo as they do some of the most strangest things & try not to be noticed by humans. You have the leader Prozac Bear, who keeps everyone in line... thanks to copious amounts of his namesake. Then you have Evil Bear, the main mischief maker of the group. Nerd Bear, Gay Bear, Death Bear... and so many more! The comics are like a mixture of Care Bears, Yogi Bear & good Adult Swim programming all in one!

This webcomic would be easy for some to write off as nothing special without looking at it, but I *DARE* those people to read the creator's webcomic & not chuckle at at least one of the strips or not get drawn in. The artist's style is fun & endearing. How good do I think this webcomic is? It's so good that I actually preordered this book months before it was released & I almost never purchase webcomic books. So far I've shown it to quite a few people & every one of them loved the series.

Seriously, I recommend this to just about everyone & why Acton hasn't been picked up by one of the bigger indie comics houses is beyond me. This series has the potential to be just as big as Lenore or some of the other comics out there.
