My class just read a touching poem about the bravery of a soldier. Blast by Dee Phillips is a poem in a book that we found in the middle school library. The poem begins with a young soldier who is in the military, but scared so much he is shaking. His convoy across the desert ends up getting hit and he has an act of bravery that doesn't turn out the way you think. This poem made me think about war and making hard choices. I liked this poem and would recommend it if you would like to try a poem about soldiers or what it means to sacrifice yourself for others.

I just read a cool poem, Blast by Dee Phillips The poem begins with people going to the war and fight soldier The main character in this poem is private Damien Williams who is a good soldier.The best parts of this poem are when the soldier goes and helps the soldier and he fights soldiers. The main character helped a soldier, goes to war and he helps a lot of soldiers. I liked this poem because a soldier helps the people and they work hard on the war. If you like poems about soldiers or learning about the world then I recommend you read this book.

The main character in this poem is damien williams who is the main character.The best parts of this poem, is when he goes and to save Private Vincent torres from not burning. and private Damien william,Vincent Torres and Joelle carter. are the people on this book that are the main character in this story. i liked this poem because it is a war poem. if you like poems about war or fighting then I would recommend this poem for you.

I just read a poem about bravery, Blast by Dee Phillips. The poem begins with a grenade hitting his team. The main character is Private Damien Williams who is brave. The best parts of the poem are the fighting, helping a hurt person and when they won the fight. The main character is scared and shaking when he saves a man from dying. I liked this poem because he helps his team out from the enemy. If you like poems about bravery or being scared then I recommend you read this poem.
