This is not a standalone within the series. This is a short, holiday epilogue that picks up right where Meet Me Halfway left off.

Madison woke up thinking it would be a piece of cake to meet Garrett's mother. She made him like her, after all. But the closer they get to Garrett’s childhood home, the more doubt starts to creep in.

She knows as well as anyone that mothers can be protective of their children. And as a divorced, single mother, the only thing Madison has to offer Garrett is her heart. And she’s not sure if that’ll be enough for the woman who raised him.

Which could pose a problem, given the Christmas gift she has hidden in her suitcase for him.

In " Merry Me Darlin" from the compelling "Learning to Love" series by Lillian T. James is fantastic! The extended epilogue is full of emotions, sweetness, and steam. I especially loved the Afterword where the author talks about Jamie, the son, deserving his happy ending. It got me teary-eyed! 🎄🧑‍🎄✨

This adorable conclusion masterfully intertwines emotions, sweetness, and steam, creating a heartwarming experience.

4.5 I love that this focused on Jamie getting his happy ending!! In meet me halfway Madison and Garrett got their happy ending and now its time for Jamie<3 This picks up right after the epilogue in meet me halfway and I love pretty much everything about it, I finished meet me halfway last night and read this one right after - the perfect ending! I cant wait for the next (and last? Idk) book in this series! I just wish Garrett proposed instead of Maddie hehe

Ugh I couldn’t even resist ending the year with them. I am seriously obsessed with these two and think about them often. Can’t wait to read more of this series but this was a nice little epilogue.

I read Meet Me Halfway a few weeks ago, and I was really excited when I saw that @liliantjamesauthor was going to send out a holiday-themed novella as an extended epilogue. Even though I’m not much of a contemporary romance reader, I loved the novel. The ending was satisfying, but I definitely didn’t mind getting an extended epilogue! Well… I SOBBED reading Merry Me Darling. I don’t cry often when I’m reading, but something about Maddie, Garrett, and Jamie’s story really hits me in the feels. And the afterward with context from the author’s real life? 🥹🥹🥹

This epilogue novella was the cherry on top to a book that I absolutely loved. I am swooning and melting right now from all of the emotions and feels of what I got with Madison and Garrett and Jamie in this book. It truly was the perfect conclusion for them, and it just made my heart happy. Seeing these three get their happily ever after was well worth the journey to get them here. Their story is honest and raw and vulnerable and it will have you feeling it all, and this little ending with them is truly the perfect way to send them off into that happily ever after.

Was worth seeing the interaction between Jamie and Garrett. Jamie deserved so much.
