I've enjoyed this series so much that I feel genuinely bereaved now that it's come to an end; still, lots of loose ends were very neatly tied up, so no arguments that it will be the last ..... full marks to Hilary Green - I do believe that you've joined my list of top ten favourite authors
I have just finished reading follies book four after reading the previous three. I found then a fabulous read and couldn't put any of the books down. I am now hopefully seeking more books by Hilary Green and also spreading the news to friends about this writer.
I can truthfully say that I have enjoyed reading the whole series of 4 books.Loved the characters and the background during World War II.Nice touch with the love story between Rose and Richard.Definitely I will recommend the books to all historical fiction readers.
For those who would like reliable, well researched and readable books on the lives and loves of a group of seaside entertainers 'cast' into a world at war, the Follies series of 4 books will do nicely.
I read this series of books consecutively as I thought they gave me a good feel of the second world war and the main characters were fairly well written.
