Surprisingly cute and sexy little read for the holidays. A sweet innocent little elf mistakes a sexy rockstar for her Santa. But it turns out the grumpy rockstar, Lars Nilsen, is only there to sell the majestic Ivy House off and then leave as soon as he can. Only when determined Charlie gets him to open his heart and his home to herself and the town all bets are off and he might just have fallen for, not only the girl, but his hometown as well.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Charlie loves her small hometown and has never had any plans that would take her away from the life that she has. She is dressed in an elf outfit the first time that she meets Lars Nielson and mistakes him for the replacement Santa and secondly when she learns that there is someone living in Ivy House, the place that she has dreamed of holding a charity concert for the orphanage for some years. Charlie has no idea that the man she has met on two occasions now is a Rockstar and when she discovers the truth she is hurt and feels stupid. But when Lars offers all, she wants but for the price of three dates, but can she stop her heart from falling for him when he has no intention of staying. Is the cost too much for her to bare?
Lars never wanted to return to his hometown where he was raised in the local orphanage whilst his uncle lived in the family Mansion but when he suddenly passes away leaving the estate to him, he knows that he has no choice but to return to the town he never thought he would return to. So, when he meets Charlie an Elf who doesn’t recognize him, he chooses not to enlighten her and enjoy the anonymity and be just like everyone else for once, but it backfires when she learns who he is and what he is in town for. But she has woken something in him he thought was dead forever and something he doesn’t want to lose. His time in town is coming to an end will Lars be happy leaving all he has behind, or could he have found something to stick around for, has he missed his chance at a life he never knew was possible?
I loved everything about this book and their meet cute was one of the sweetest and funniest I have read for a long time. Charlie was his sunshine and Lars needed her more than he knew. Sweet festive read 4.5*.

*spoilers* Lars ia a famous rockstar, who besides his tours and gigs lives a rather recluse live. He grew up in an orphanage in a small town also his uncle lived in a mansion nearby. Now he inherited the mansion and goes back to the town he despises. There he meets Charlie, who awakens feelings in him he never had and is a 'ball of sunshine', She wants to organize a charity concert in the famous mansion. Lars hurt her, when he did not reveal to her who he really wasin their first two meetings. She wants to raise money for the orphanage, where he grew up and has not the best memories. But he would do about anything for her. His requests are three dates with him, then he will even play in the concert...
Gia Bailey like always creates intriguing characters and a captavvating story. It has a sweet and romantic side with many details and charcters (like Charlie's brother and best friend). Lars and Charlie have the special chemistry and their heartsthankfully lead the way. It has the special Christmas magic.

Lars is a rockstar and is back in his hometown because his uncle has died and has left him his estate. When Charlie runs into him, she mistakenly thinks he is the replacement for Santa that they needed. However, she learns her mistake pretty quick. Charlie has no clue who Lars really is and the second time she runs into him she talks about having a concert with Lars to bring in some funds for Ivy House. Lars enjoys being with her as she only sees him as a man. Yet things change when she learns who is really. Will something happen between them? Can she convince him to do the right thing?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

A small town, rockstar, age gap, obsession, Christmas romance with all the feels and a great story. Lars comes back to his hometown when his estranged uncle leaves him his estate. His meet cute with Charlie was hilarious and very sweet. The grumpy rocker confused for Santa when he’s more of a Scrooge. He’s instantly obsessed with Charlie and agrees to allow her to hold a fundraiser in his home in exchange for 3 dates. These dates were fun and exceptionally flirty with one particularly hot scene during their second date. I loved the resolution of his relationship with his late uncle. The way the book handled it was unique and done beautifully. I also adored the ending. The redemption of Lars and the way he won Charlie’s heart were fantastic.

Is Lars up for the challenge of convincing Charlie?
If you are after a short romance that involves a jaded rockstar then let me highly recommend Lars & Charlie's story. Lars didn't want to set foot in the town he grew up in but he does as he's just inherited Ivy House from his estranged uncle. He'll use the house to recover from his last tour whilst deciding what to do. He meets Charlie & any thoughts he had of leaving quickly are gone. He wants her but what does Charlie want & what happens when he leaves?.

This is book number 9 of the His Obsession series and focuses on Lars and Charlie. Lars is a rockstar who had left his hometown and bad memories as soon as he could and wanted nothing to do with it. When his uncle dies and leaves him his house Lars wants nothing more than to sell it off as quickly as he can and go back to his life. When he meets Charlie, he feels things he hadn’t felt before. He wants her immediately and does what he has to do to get her to date him. It doesn’t take long for either of them to fall for each other. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

This was my favorite in the His Obsession series! ✵
I did not expect to be reading a Christmas story in May so it was a fun surprise but also I fell in love with Lars and Charlies back and forth ♥ The banter was sweet, flirty and fun. As always with Gia Bailey we get a HEA but I loved the drama that came with it, the healing of old wounds and of Charlie never backing down!
Read it, it's quick, it's fun, it's steamy its everything you want if you're missing Christmas in May.

Enjoyed this short story, thought it was fun how Lars and Charlie firsts met. I liked how she challenged him, and didn’t give in to his ego, but made him realize he could do so much more by allowing forgiveness into his heart. The supporting characters, definitely add to the story, hope that Lily will be getting a book, as the tension was high with Will. The ending was perfect as they both got what they’d been searching for what was missing in their lives.

Such a sweet story. Lars is the good looking, grumpy, rock star that is hating going back to his hometown. Charlie meet him and tries to put into a Santa Suit but he's not the Santa. She meets again but never knew he was a rock star. She feels embarrassed since she didn't know who he was. Now Lars is falling for Charlie and trying to get rid of all the baggage about his hometown. This has great characters, emotional struggles, and steamy times. I loved it.

Lars Nielsen is back in his hometown where he doesn’t want to be. He has bad memories of the place but meeting Charlie will change all that. Charlie is all about her hometown and never plans to leave. Being around her gives Lars some perspective.

His Obsession, is a brilliant series written by Gia. This one is another example of why she keeps selling books. This is a great story with Lars and Charlie meeting and finding love. I kind of like the obsessive man stories and this one I really enjoyed. The plot was well developed and I loved the characters. Can't wait for the next book!!!.

I thought that this was a good book. I really enjoyed Lars and Charlie together. These two are drawn together and have a wonderful connection and chemistry. Lars falls hard and fast for Charlie but he hides his identity from Charlie and when she find outs, she's pissed. Thankfully, these two were able to resolve their issues and get a really great HEA.

Simple story, but very good characters
It's a beautiful romance, simple, whose first meeting between Lars and Charlie is quite funny. Their story keeps this simplicity while having twists and turns because Lars is closed, complex in his past, but also his present, and Charlie is on the contrary in the discovery, the help of others, the opening.

Charlie had no clue who Lars was and he liked it that way. So when Charlie finally gave into him because he was proving to be the guy she was falling in love with, she learned that he planned on selling the wonderful house he inherited and meant a lot to the community. Once he figures out he loves her can he get her back and find their happily ever after. Good short steamy read.

When Lars inherits his uncle's house he didn't want it or to go back to the small town he grew up in but meeting Charlie changed everything for him. Charlie loves everything about her small town and meeting Lars was the cherry on top for her. I loved the way the author brought Charlie and Lars together. This was a good rockstar romance. I loved the meet cute, it was hilarious and the sparks were flying between Lars and Charlie. After that I did feel like there were too many misunderstandings and drama. But at the end it was resolved in a good way.

This was a good book. Lars was really sweet. I like how he allowed himself to be vulnerable with Charlie. Charlie was a ray of sunshine. They were perfect together.
