Not a nail-biter, scared of the dark, hates scotch. A library is my favorite place in the world. I have a large collection of pre-1965 Harlequin romances which I re-read when depressed. I have recently self-published a second memoir, the follow-up to "the Hypocrisy of Disco" and it is available only at

"Nothing is Fixed" is the much-anticipated sequel to "The Hypocrisy of Disco". In her first book, we are told the unique somewhat Bohemian story of Clane Hayward's childhood.

In this second book, Clane does not disappoint. She literally picks up where she left off in her first book. We are taken along with her through her teens, with its rites-of-passage, and into her adulthood, including her stint in the U.S. Navy.

Clane writes so freely it is easy to be drawn into her books. She tells her story with frankness, as a matter of fact. She is no-nonsense, and makes no apologies. She tells her story with frankness, as a matter of fact.

I felt privileged to have read Clane's books. They have a special spot on my bookshelves.

I like that the book picked up right where it left off. I like that it's real and true. It's very interesting learning about life as a naval officer. I can relate to both of Clane's books in different ways but I did like the writing in the first book a tad better.
