Englanninkielinen laitos suositusta kieliopista.Kirjassa keskitytään ulkomaalaisille ongelmia aiheuttaviin seikkoihin, erityisesti taivutusoppiin. Lukuisat esimerkit ja rakennekaaviot helpottavat ymmärtämistä ja mieleenpainumista. Selkeän rakenteensa ansiosta kirja soveltuu hyvin myös kieliopin perusasioiden kertaamiseen.

The book is written in English and teaches a more advanced level of Finnish. This would be the next step after Leila White's "From start to Finnish". Unlike that book, "A Grammar Book of Finnish" has no pictures. No exercises in this book, either. Just Finnish grammar in black and white ink, from inside cover to inside cover. She'll explain a Finnish grammar law and give examples in the form of sentences. Every example has a Finnish and English translation. Very pragmatic book.

I feel weird rating a reference book but 3 stars seems appropriate. This has been very useful lately, and I like the large number of examples used to back up the new grammar (of which there is A LOT in Finnish).
