Rate this book
Marcus Mormon (1908) is a book written by Nephi Anderson, first published in 1908. The book tells the story of Marcus King, a young man who joins the Mormon Church and becomes a devoted member of the community. The story takes place in the late 19th century, in a small town in Utah. Marcus struggles to fit in with his non-Mormon family and friends, but he finds solace in the teachings of the Church and the support of his fellow members. As he grows older, Marcus becomes a leader in the Church and helps to spread its message to others. However, he also faces challenges and persecution from those who do not understand or accept his faith. The book explores themes of faith, family, community, and the struggle to find one's place in the world. It provides a glimpse into the Mormon culture and way of life, as well as the history of the Church in the United States. Overall, Marcus Mormon is a compelling and inspiring story of one man's journey of faith and devotion. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. This book started off so well and was such a page turner. I was so disappointed in the end. I feel like trying to change it from third to first person ruined it for me. And it could have been wrapped up so nicely too!

Very anti-sectarian. And the weirdness with the love-interests was too much for me.
