To be fair I can't say much about this book as it's a good four years since I read it. However, while I don't remember the details I do remember that it had me gripped. I thoroughly enjoyed it & it introduced me to an author that I happily follow.

First time I've read this author and I wasn't disappointed. Was gripped from start to finish and couldn't wait to unravel more of the story. I did figure out how it was going to end (though I wasn't trying to) but that didn't detract from what was an interesting, thought-provoking and enjoyable read.

Can relate to the dysfunctional relationship so, found Ms Hill's observations insightful. I liked the book is actually a thriller/detective story. The fact that the heroine chooses not to be stereotypical and is often laughing at herself, makes this book so much more relevant. There were patches where the details became repetitive.

It was okay enough to finish but took me a very long time. It was confusing to keep track but I guess it was as the main character thought process. The book could have been paced faster

I really enjoyed this book had me glued to it. loved the twist at the end but thought it could've ended better than it did.

This hasn't been a bad story I would have rated it as good if it hadn't been for the main character's tedious references to her sex life, I don't think it's necessary to keep going on about it. The author ought to stick to telling the story. I wasn't expecting the twist in the tale at the end, poor Justine I couldn't help but feel sorry for her.

the book is good. You may not like this kind of story, though it is a kind of mystery, just a different one, but it has something. It is a very sad book, the story of a woman who fell in love with a psychopath and never noticed he was unable of any empathy. It could be a bit shorter, so that the reader's interest does not wander. But it has something.

On the one hand, some of the material is too close to comfort (obsession over lost loves) and on the other, the writing style isn't engaging enough for me. It's a psychological thriller that does work in terms of keeping your attention so it's probably just that the form doesn't appeal to me.
