When Aliss Elizabeth's father brings home a dog called Whu that mysteriously appeared in his laboratory, their cozy life begins to turn upside down, or at the least tilt sharply. Whu's presence disrupts space around him in often hilarious ways that the world needs and the government would like to control. To keep Whu out of their hands, AlissElizabeth, her father, and Whu are forced to flee from Cambridge to New York City and then back to Massachusetts, with the police and the army in hot pursuit.
