I’m slightly disappointed regarding what happened in this book and was left feeling unsatisfied with all that occurred. So there are going to be some slight spoilers just to clarify why I’m feeling so meh about the conclusion to a series that I was loving up until this final book. Honestly, this was my least favourite out of the six.

So after that dramatic previous finale, I was excited about what was to come. Obviously, these men were all devastated and heartbroken over Nova’s continued absence which was to be expected. But then we spend half the book on this which was definitely way too much and at the detriment of what was really important as well. When Nova does eventually returns it was all just extremely anticlimactic there are zero explanations over how why and where and she’s now all-knowing and frankly she seemed a bit megalomaniac in her manner and a bit of an arse if I’m honest.

Then there’s the Nico and Sam thing didn’t like it, thought it was quite frankly cruel and thought Nova was incredibly mean to Nico despite everything he’s tried to do to atone for his past behaviour and she doesn’t even take into consideration his shitty upbringing and prior circumstance when she’s standing in judgement. Frankly, I wasn’t liking Ascended Nova that much at all.

There were definitely some missed opportunities here and not enough time spent on the final showdown then it was just all too easy. I think I’m just underwhelmed we’ve been building up to this all through this series and it just felt so meh. I did like the epilogue but this for me wasn’t the strongest book In the series and did feel a bit rushed. I still overall rate this series as a whole a good read with plenty of spice throughout but honestly this last book let the rest down.

Ok. So. Meh?
I think I lost interest somewhere around the 3 book or so, unfortunately.
Everything was just too fast and yet too slow at the same time.
The relationships had almost no emotional development. They all just sort of fell together and started fucking. And usually I love that shit. But with this I was expecting more. I mean it’s six full length books. And yet we didn’t really spend any time with any of the characters. *sigh* I mean we did. Maybe it’s just that I didn’t connect to any them? I don’t know. Just, Something was off.

And the plot. It was so slow going for something that took so little to resolve.

I don’t know.
I don’t think the series is bad.
I just think my interest in it wavered somewhere earlier in the series and maybe I just should’ve stopped reading Then, instead of finishing it.

hmmm, so much more could have been done

There was so much build up and invested a lot on following Nova’story! And man the ending was so disappointing!
So many mistakes in the writing here, and so much unnecessary slang. I had such high hopes for this story. The fact that how Nova dies and then three weeks later returns from the lake! Not a big dramatic fire!! Or the fact she suddenly has all this knowledge, I was expecting she had gone to another plane, met her phoenix ancestors, to give me a little more filling to her time away from her men… but no, we just get her suddenly knowing what to do, and even then it’s not a lot, it’s something that is done again, sneak in the hollow kill eve, then all of a sudden she can kill the king!
This ending could have been so much more, so so much potential. For Sam to not be one of her dates mates was mean, and unnecessary. Nico returning great, but that could have still happened without him being part of the mates. Rev can still have a love story, without that part.
I just didn’t like Nova when she came back, I get confidence! I love that, but it wasn’t her.

Anyway the biggest annoyance, and genuinely I would have probably given another star, if the ending wasn’t finished with Sam teasing the professor and the men dressing nova in the outfit from the club! We don’t get Kole and Tanners moment with Nova, nor do we see how Sam and the professor’s relationship evolve with nova back!

The author opened SOOOOO many juicy doors, and then just left open, and I HATE that. It doesn’t make me want to read Rev and Nico’s story, I don’t want to read Hollow… because I don’t want more disappointment.

It’s such a shame Cara…

Omg it's finally done.
Why did I read this?

The plot was lacking - like a lot - and the sex scenes so overly used that they mostly bored me to death.

I had such high hopes for this book and was disappointed. I loved this series and the spice is always so good, the 5th book ends on such a cliff hanger and I was so excited for this release. I started out loving this, the men are heart broken waiting for Nova to come back but not really knowing if she will and they find solace in each other. Sam and Mack forging their relationship was huge to me and I was so excited to see where it went plus some more spice with Luther and Kole?? And then Nova is honestly an ass to Nico (which understandably) but he’s turning over a new leaf and instead of appreciating that and appreciating that he’s the only reason Sam is still alive she basically treats him as next to nothing. I wanted more of Nico and Rev but I assume that’s another book. I was so in but we don’t really see any progression for these relationships. It’s set up so well and then Nova comes back all knowing and powerful and the other relationships are basically forgotten about. And we get really zero explanation about what happened to Nova while she was gone and why all the sudden she knows everything and is honestly a little high and mighty about it. The end scene had me so hyped up and I knew the spice was gonna be top tier and then she just ends the book before anything happens!? Really disappointed in this book, this was shaping up to be my favorite series of 2023 but this book put it out of the running. I don’t think I’ll be reading the follow up novella and Nico and Revs story. Disappointed.

I don’t even know.

Nova came back (from where? Idek because it was never explained. She was just some floating orb) and acted like she knew everything and everyone was like ‘ok cool’ let’s just fuck. Erm, what? You’re telling me that we’re SIX books in, this goddamn prophecy is in full swing and we don’t get a simple explanation as to wtf happened? Mind you, she doesn’t show back up until almost 55-60% way in the book.

Then, her treatment of Nico pisssssed me off. He was an ass, but damn. Lowkey was hoping he would’ve said ‘fuck it’ and really became a bad guy and didn’t help her. 😂

ALSO. What was the point of having Sam if he wasn’t a fated mate?! And Jesus Christmas how hurt must he have felt to realize he wasn’t and she just kept on fucking the others while his world was practically being blown up??

The author’s writing isn’t awful but there were so many unknowns and lack of connections between characters this book. And Nova’s complete 180 change of personality was wild. She could barely control her magick and then she’s all knowing… from dying? I don’t get it. 🙃

I have loved this series from the start but . . . .
This one fell short.
It felt rushed.
So many things left unanswered.
Scenes left as fade to black.
Other relationship dynamics left unexplored.
Don’t even get me started on Sam. I won’t spoil anything but it was a pointless, painful twist with no real impact on the book.
I’m left sad, wanting and unfulfilled.
Such a shame as the characters were incredible, the storyline epic, the build up immense - just for it to stumble at the final hurdle.

There was so much potential here, but instead we get nothing. There was no information on where Nova went when she passed or how she gained all this knowledge. No explanation of Mack and Snow separating and what that means. The author set up some new dynamics in the group and then never fleshed them out. Nova got a new fated mate and rejected him…how is that possible or why doesn’t that upset the balance. It was just a let down.

The final Chapter to the Phoenix Prophecy series, and damn has it been a ride! Thank you Cara Clare for writing this series!!! Thank you for including us in the story of Nova and her 5 mages. Daddy Mack/Snow will always be my favorite. This ended a little fast for me, but loved how it wrapped up the story!! Damn spicy!!!

No. En absoluto.

Habían pasado tres semanas, no tres años.

Sam no.

"He does not hate you." "Ah. He does." I lean over and kiss her cheek. "Maybe. But it doesn't matter. I love you enough for two people." Book 1 pg. 247

***Spoilers Ahead***

I did end up finishing this series despite the rating being 3/5. (It's worth noting that I automatically give 3 stars if I FINISH a book, because my ADD will not let me finish something I don't REALLY like.) I did like the books overall, I think the biggest reason I finished was because of how much I liked the characters. I usually don't mind a good insta-love story, especially when it comes to fated mates, because it makes sense with fated mates. However, it wasn't yet accepted that they were fated mates and already one of them was telling the FMC that she loved him. Which is just kind of cringy to me? I just felt like the overall plot was almost an afterthought. The world wasn't really explained as much as I would have liked, leaving me confused in some areas. There were also some chapters that were from the villain's POV. Which I don't mind, but it was kind of a curveball and I had no idea what was happening and had to read the chapter twice. I loved the love stories between the characters, and I think there is a lot of potential for the fantasy plot aspect it just felt lacking. Like we kept leading to something great just to be a bit let down.

Note to the author: there needs to be a better trigger warning, please!

Nova has survived being beaten, raped, and branded by her boyfriend. One night when she is sure he will finally go to far an kill her, something ignites inside her, literally. The next thing she knows her apartment, her boyfriend, and herself are on fire. She somehow ends up completely unharmed. Only problem is, she lives in a city that is run by the Anti Magick Alliance so when the paramedics notice her clothes are burned but she is not, the whispers start. Luckily, her neighbor shows up to help her get out of the city before she is classified a witch and burned at the stake (maybe literally?) for using her powers against a human. Her neighbor drops her off at the bus station, gives Nova her coat and $200 and tells her to flee.

She flees to Phoenix Falls where she meets a group of men that take an instant interest in her well being. Kole, a seer and earth mage that is a recovering blood addict. Mack, the "daddy" of the group, professor, sheriff, and a polar bear shifter! Tanner, a water mage, and more importantly an empath that knows what Nova needs before she does. And Luther, a fire mage and officer in Mack's department.

They are convinced that she is part of a prophecy that will save supes and humans alike from the shadow king that is determined to return to earth to rule, and he isn't working alone. He has a the Human Extinction League, led by Ragnor, to help him return. And he is willing to do and use whoever he needs to, to accomplish it. Including his son, Nico.

Nico is a celebrity known for trying to bring supes and humans together, he also happens to look a hell of a lot like Sam, the foster brother Nova thinks she killed when she was a child. When Nova is led to believe Nico IS Sam, she risks everything to protect him. Luckily, she has her men around to save her from continuing to make the mistake of trusting him. But trusting him led to her finding out that, although Nico isn't Sam, Sam is still alive. Nova and her men are determined to find and save him.

Nova is lucky enough to have these four men in her life to help her not only survive, but also fulfill the prophecy she still isn't convinced she is a part of. There is just one problem, the prophecy calls for **5** mates. With how she is feeling towards Sam now that they are older, it makes sense that he is the fifth mate in the prophecy, and with the voice that keeps speaking to them telling them to find "the wolf shifter" it can only mean him, right?

The six of them must be willing to do whatever it takes to save everyone and everything from the shadow king, including sacrificing each other. Will their love help them on their journey? Or prevent them from doing what is necessary to succeed?

This book is a big disappointment.
Why is Sam not a mate?
Why is Nico a mate?
And why the f-ck is Nova such a mean beach to Nico?
He died for Sam. He showed that he was sorry. And she won’t even try to give him a happy ending with her.
I never really liked Sam, I will be honest. He is just lacks the sauce. He is just There. I was hopping that if he got a relationship with the professor things would be more interesting…But we didn’t get that.
And we can see that the author wanted to put Nico as a love interest in the first books when he joined the bunch. Why didn’t she do it? Why the hell did we need to add her BROTHER as a love interest. It honestly makes things strange. It gives the idea that everyone has an interest in her. Honestly the best way to fix this would be to kill Sam and Rev so that Nico can be with them. He is so much more interesting than Sam.
The fact that Nico is a mate, and is not inlove with Nova is disturbing to me. It ruins the idea of mates. Mates are supposed to love each other deeply, and Nova treats his FATED MATE like trash.
In this book nova is mean, rude, and just acts like a even worse version of Hermione Granger( I do love her but she is a knows it all)
Also when nova came from the dead? Basic scene. I expected more after we spent half of the book reading her mates POV’s crying and grieving.
So to summarise:
- Nova is a beach
- Sam has no sauce, and from the start Nico was better.
- It was a mistake to put Sam as a mate, but why take it back now?
- It was a mistake to not put Nico as a mate but WHY put it now?
- Why the hell is Nico in love with Rev? I don’t like it. They will get their book but I won’t read it.
-How the hell can Rev like a guy that is fatted to another women? She deserves better. And we do too.
- the author opened so many doors to many juicy outcomes but ignored them and made the worst desision of her live: Write this crap of a book.
It was so bad.
Don’t read it honestly.
I will try to finish the series, but my expectations are on the floor.
If you want to be happy, just pretend that Sam died, Nico Got with Nova and Rev gets with someone else…she can even get Sam for all I care.

First and foremost! These books go in order and leave off on cliffhangers! If you haven't read the first five, then this review will be confusing and contain major spoilers! This is the FINAL book of the series!

"Devoured by flame. She is leaving me. Leaving us." - Kole

Kole had to watch as Nova played out the final part of the prophecy, praying to every god/goddess that this was the right choice. That she will rise as The Phoenix and help to save the world from utter destruction. But what if they were wrong. . ?

The guys are faced with hard decisions and realities they never thought would come about. Having to rely on one another and the few people they can trust. But is that enough? The King is coming and they may be powerless to stop him. What will be the fate of Phoenix Falls? Will there be anything left? Where's Nova. . ?!

"And secrets. . .they eat you up eventually." - Sam

Delayed review because I just didn't want this to be the final book in the series! I wasn't ready to let go of this cast of characters! Prepare yourself for a rollercoaster ride of emotions and heartbreak! This read had me tearing up on multiple occasions and exclaiming "what the. . ." on several twists.

It had to be Kole. . . He was the best one to go with Nova to watch and be there until the end. It tore me up reading as we got to see everything through his POV! How he had to fight himself from running to Nova and saving her. . . Being a seer he's surrounded by rules and codes he must follow but that doesn't mean he enjoys it. Kole had to be strong for Nova.

The author takes us on a RIDE! I will try not to spoil too much but Nova doesn't come back just instantly and that's all I am going to say! The guys are left facing grief, guilt, and more. I did enjoy how they had to learn to lean on one another more and understand their new reality. Trying to keep faith in the face of so much darkness.

Grief is a very heavy theme in the read and I appreciated the different stages and individual takes on loss. The guys all trying to "handle" it in their own ways. Because in reality we all face grief uniquely. . . One of the guys being questioned briefly as to why he's handling things the way he is. I admired the guys even more and their personalities. Even a couple of the "rocks" of the group stating they couldn't be that right now.

We still have the multiple POVs in this final installment and I was really shocked by a couple of the POVs. Excited to see behind the character's mask and understand what's going on in their head. With this book we also get more of the guys backstories as they open up to one another just a little more. And there was some surprising spicy scenes I did not expect but very much loved!

This book had so many twists and ironic things that I caught onto. I want to specifically state them but that would give away major spoilers/plot points! I applaud Cara for the ironies and chuckled/cheered with some of them! I was also appreciative that some of the MCs weren't overpowered and even understood they needed help. The read was a phenomenal conclusion to the series even though I didn't want it to end! But the author has a new book coming out soon and I am very excited for it!

Language is present in the read along with violence, bloodshed, and gore. One of the characters was so beautifully grotesque and I really loved the take on the person. Heavy feelings of guilt, helplessness, and the pain of loosing someone. With some of the character's backstories there are some darker materials mentioned and clear acts of manipulation. Dark magick is also addressed in the book along with blood magic.

We do get spice with this read! Steam needing to be blown off and some forms of distraction required. There's some frustrating moments that will have you wanting more because of the hints and teasing! MF action along with MM, the guys do not mind helping one another out. This is a why choose romance with a large group and there's some bisexual representation within the group dynamic.

There's mention of a novella at the end of this book that will revolve around Tanner and Kole's origin story! I cannot wait and maybe there will be more novellas to come. Whatever future plans the author has I am here for them all! I want to read more of her work and writing style along with all the spice!

Prepare your heart for this read! Enjoy this final installment of the series and don't forget to give the author some stars!

For the love of all that’s good this series should have ended on book 3. 4 MAX! The last two were a drag and the weird plot line of this one was so strange.
I get we want nova to be powerful but why couldn’t we give the guys some credit too? Reducing them to cranky sobbing messes who no longer even support each other after she died was pathetic. She’s the freakin phoenix of course she has to die and be reborn (but really should have been from the damn ashes?) wtf was that water nonsense?
The guys could’ve grouped together to find the answers in an ancient text or with koles seer powers or even his mothers- (which btw- what happened to her “consequences”- why throw that down and not conclude it?).
And the Sam twist? WHAT did that achieve? Ima spend 4 books reading bout her bonking her “brother” but it’s ok because they’re “fated mates” only to find out they ain’t mates, so that justification is completely void, for it to make NO DIFFERENCE to the story other than diminish Sam. I WAS expecting nico to be involved. I expected Nico to be an additional fated mate, being that he is from the same bloodline as Sam, they could both be descendants from the originals? I feel like that would have made more sense, added to their group and cemented the feelings Nico kept having for nova? No? Apparently not. We gonna throw that down, not let it change anything and let Nico end up with someone else even though we know he will always pine for Nova in a part of his heart because he’s actually meant for Nova and Sam will forever live with being “less than” the rest of the crew. Whhhyyyyy? 🤦🏻‍♀️

This is a new author for me and I saw this series advertised and just thought it sounded really interesting. Y’all when I tell you I DEVOURED these books. I read all 6 in two and a half days. What was sleep?? I needed answers!

Nova, our FMC, has lived her life thinking she’s human until one night while defending herself from her abusive boyfriend she suddenly sets some magic free. She has to escape or others she’ll be hunted down. She ends up in Phoenix Falls where she meets our guys. Upon meeting her they’re sure she’s the one that’s destined to fulfill this prophecy they had discovered and save everyone.

I loved this story. Not only was the premise different than anything I’ve read before but it constantly kept me on my toes. Each book ended on a cliffhanger that made me grateful this was a completed series. When I thought I had something figured out another curveball was thrown at the characters.

The relationships between Nova and each of the guys was absolutely beautiful. Tanner, our empath and water mage, is so sweet and I adored the retriever energy from him. Kole, seer and Earth mage, he’s broody and has this trauma he’s working through but his bond with Nova is everything. Mack, shifter and air mage, he’s the big brother/Daddy of the group and man let me tell you…he’s definitely a Daddy. Sam, werewolf, he’s got that same retriever energy as Tanner and is just so sweet and protective. Luther, fire mage, he’s broody and grumpy and we love him all the more for it.

This series was spicy, it was funny, it was heart wrenching, it made me cry, and I loved every minute of it. It’s slept on and I’m going to recommend it to everyone. Go read it.

I thought it would be more fitting to review this series as a whole rather than just the finale. This book hooked me in from the first one, and had me sat on the edge of my seat through all six books, but I still don’t think I can write a review that does this series justice.

It’s hot, it’s action-packed and full of fantasy elements. Set in a town called Phoenix Falls, six (or seven 👀) individuals come together over the series, to stop The King of the underworld from rising and destroying the world as they know it. There is so much drama and spice and action that it will keep you turning the pages right until the end.

Fire Bird (the final book) was a fitting finale, and didn’t disappoint. The twists built into the books definitely did not disappoint, taking turns I did not expect. The characters were great (Luther was always my fave), and the books were inhaleable in one sitting.

If you’re looking for a new favourite spicy Romantasy series, this is more than worth giving a go. I honestly don’t think my review even touches on the greatness of this series.

I recieved a ARC from the author/PA and write this review of my own free will!!!

Holi canoli!

Wow just wow what a book this was. I was not only captivated but also blown away by how good it was!

The amound of times i just had to put down my tablet, take a moment and deep breath was well often because man it got either super intense aka the guys their pain or was getting super hot and sexy.

Let me say this the book kept me on edge and guessing on Nova's 'rebirth' and the urge to skip ahead chapters was high but i resisted only just...

The journey of the guys was well hard to put in words but on some level i could relate, if not for Sam i would of lost all hope with the other guys..

The book is not only haunting, beautiful & hot with sexy times but also gave me the vibes of that when ever all things seem lost just wait a little longer and it will be somewhat okay again.

The suspence really aged me years nerves almost all shot to kingdom come from either the guys or waiting for a nova chapter lol.

The sexy times? They are off the charts and i was surprised at some of them too, i mean yeah very hot and very very sexy! Rate those moments 13/10

It is the absolute best way to end a series. Or is it? Lol

I do however wished the ending was a little different but thats my personal preferance.

I was thrilled and so happy to read this so so many feelings, but also so so sad that this was the final book its been one of my top 5 series ive read of all time.

I do highly recommend reading this series it is absolutely amazing!

Despite the fact that this was the longest book it still flew by. I loved getting to see Nova be a bad ass bitch. She fucked those demons up! I liked seeing the boys get a bit of a power up as well. I didn't really care for the reveal that Sam was technically not one of Nova's fated mates. It really had no point as well as didn't really change anything about how the story turned out. I just didn't get why that had to be thrown in. The final battle was super cool with the risen witches and demons and everything! But. The Shadow king was incredibly disappointing. He had been build up over 5 freaking books all to die in literally one paragraph. Nova defeated him in one paragraph. That’s crazy they couldn't have had a little bit more of a back and forth? Nova made it a point to say that even as powerful as she was she wouldn't be able to defeat him alone but then she did exactly that in .5 seconds. It was a good conclusion despite that there are more books though that kinda deals with the Anti magic people so I guess I will go read those now hahahaha. My opinion still stands that this series would have been better as a trilogy of bigger books that were slightly more edited. There were honestly quite a bit of loose ends that could have been removed and it wouldn't have negatively affected the series as a whole.

Spoilers ahead!

The ultimate end to an incredible, spicy and thrilling series. With Nova's sacrifice to save Phoenix Falls from the Shadow King, the men are battling with their grief, trying to find ways to cope, and slowly losing their hope of her return, particularly with the Shadow King's re-appearance, and the plague of demons feasting on humans and supers alike.

I swear I say this every book, but this was the most tense and thrilling book of the series. The grief and pain the fated mates feel with the loss of Nova was truly so palpable and gut-wrenching. Still as spicy, delicious and utterly immersive, 'Fire Bird' brings the heat, and watching Nova come back with the ultimate confidence we've all been begging for since the start...

Although I did guess the fated twist a few books back, I still loved it! It added extra strain and tension to an already dire situation. I loved seeing everyone getting their vengeance and finding some hope and relief in such a dark and terrifying time. I loved these characters, and the ending was so satisfying and vindicating for them, after all they've faced and lost, the babies deserved it. A truly amazing and immersive ending to a phenomenal series.

I'm going to review this series as a whole rather than each individual book because I basically just binge read the full series in a week.

The spice is off the charts, the guys are delicious but my opinion on Nova chops and changes throughout the series.

The Phoenix Prophecy books are quick to read and even though there is a ton of spice, there is emotional attachment to the characters too. I got invested in their relationships. I think the bit that let it down for me, more so in this book, is that there could have been more development and discovery of the bonds between the guys when Nova wasn't around, or even when she was. I get that she was their centre, but they had their own bonds too.

There were another couple of little things that I felt were left unsaid or elaborating, like Nico's attraction to Nova, that just doesn't disappear, and he was treated pretty shitty even though really, he was used too. Then there's the question of where Nova was. That could have been elaborated on. I think maybe the ending was a little rushed but all in all it was a great series and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

"Firebird, finally, you have come to join me..."

This book is classified as Paranormal Romance, and is book six of a connected series. It does have a trigger warning list: graphic spice, references DV, scars, injury from fire, death from fire, fire-play, addiction, brief NONCON, breath play, DOM/SUB, praise, daddy, age gap, blood play/biting, foster siblings, mention of suicide.

The book is written in first person. This book has multiple point of views: Kole, Mack, Tanner, Luther, Sam, Eve, Nova, Nico, and Ragnor. Kole, Mack, Tanner, Luther, Nova are all from books one through five. Sam is from books three through five, and Nico is from books three through four. Ragnor is from book five. Kole is starting to question his decisions leading up to where they're at, while you learn more about Tanner's past. Mack is mourning the loss of a loved one, while Luther is starting to accept his feelings. Sam had survived Hell, and returned, while Nico came back from hell as a Hellhound. Ragnor got his love back, thanks to Eve, who is a witch that wants to bring Hell to Earth. Nova has become even more powerful.

WOW!!! I absolutely have loved the ride that this book series had taken us on. In this book we pick right up exactly where we left off in Flames and boy is it an emotional journey! I love that we got to see a more variety of the sexy scenes and I also enjoyed that they were perfectly placed in the story. The final battle scene that we get to see was done really well! My only qualm was that I wish it was a bit more drawn out, and given even more details, but that is just me being knit picky! I definitely recommend reading this, the story ends with every single question answered that I had and was a great read. The series as a whole was amazing as well, I cannot thank Cara Clare enough for giving us this wonderful series and sharing her heart with us nor the fact that I was privileged to get to read the ARC's for the whole series. I will always recommend this book series and will definitely be doing a reread and I cannot wait to see what comes next from Cara Clare!!

Book 6 of a series. You HAVE to have read the first 5 to understand what is happening.

The book starts off with the fated mates waiting for their Little Star, The Phoenix to return to them and fulfill the prophecy. It is taking longer than the seers expected and the fated five are worried, stressed, and flat out devastated without Nova. She is their rock. She is the love of their lives.

This story fallows the fated five while they cope with the potential idea that they were wrong about The Phoenix's ascension, while also figuring out how to defeat The Shadow King before he destroys the world, killing off all the humans.

Will she come back? Will she fulfill The Phoenix Prophecy as everyone hopes she will?

Triggers and Tropes:
Why choose-MMMFMM romance with MM and a mix of all the letters throughout.
Mild bondage with more explicit content
Loss of a parent/death/gore

Fire Bird - the sixth and final book of the Phoenix Prophecy is here and wowie was it amazing.
Following on the gut-wrenching cliff hanger from the fifth book Flames, we begin with Nova gone, and her men eagerly awaiting her return.
Getting the individual POV of the five men, Kole, Mack, Tanner, Luther and Sam, really gave a great insight to their struggles with waiting, dealing with the unknown and their relationship developments with each other outside of being Nova's fated five.
The action packed, spice filled conclusion for Nova and her five men took me on a journey that I did not expect, with twists that genuinely shocked me but it did not disappoint.
I truly enjoyed this series, the development of each character coming into their own, dealing with their own issues, redemptions and ultimately the strengths they find in each other right up to the very end made it a page turner, one that I know I will come back to reread.

"Fire Bird" is the conclusion to The Phoenix Prophecy series, and this author managed to throw some seriously unexptected twists my way. It's always great to read a book, expect it to go a certain way, and then watch things happen you never even thought about. There is so much I would like to say about this book, about the emotions running high, about some of the twists I especially loved, and about relationship development I never expected. But all those things include spoilers and I really don't want to give anything away because the things that got me by surprise were what I loved most about it.

That being said; I believe this is a great series for readers who love good plot development combined with plenty of spice, protective harem members, action and twists and turns you never saw coming.

Spoiler Alert

Kind of disappointed we didn't get full details about the events of Mack's birthday. Or what happened to Kole's mum.

I'm also kind of annoyed that there were 5 books of the story build-up, but it felt rather anticlimactic. The scene with the actual battle was disappointing and lacking, plus, what was the deal with Sam? We are led to believe he is the 6th, including that he was brought back from Hell, yet at the last minute, his brother Nico was to be his substitute when the other 5 had already formed a relationship and a bond with Sam. It doesn't make sense to me. Not just Nova but the other 4 guys bonded too. Plus, in the vision everyone saw, the ancestor was called Sam, not Nico. It honestly doesn't fit. I feel it would've been better to make Sam the wear-hound, not Nico. But I still think Nico was needed to help Sam destroy Ragnor. Just my opinion
