How do you set things right when everyone is against you?
Salome, Amina and the Notzrim are safe in the valley and far from the murderous Myriad. True, they share the valley with the Hebrews who are less than thrilled, but it’s better than being hunted. Or is it? As Salome determines to bring about peace between the Hebrews and Notzrim, suspicious occurrences happen. The harder Salome pushes for peace, the more dangerous life becomes. Now, Salome and Amina must find a way to stop these occurrences before everything they worked so hard for is destroyed.
Meanwhile, after seeing the horrific truth about the Myriad for himself, Aiden refuses to just stand by and do nothing. But when he pitches his grand idea to the small Notzrim militia, they laugh in his face. How can one tiny group take on the world and survive?
Paxton wanted to make amends and prove he wasn’t the enemy anymore, and it cost him everything. Now, Paxton is back in his old world, fighting to hold on to this new identity and keep his promise to Amina to escape. The only problem is his past has a death grip on him.
Britney Farr writes apocalyptic and dystopian novels filled with characters who face impossible situations, forcing them to persevere and grow despite the surrounding threats by finding hope and strength in something greater than themselves—God.
Britney lives in Colorado with her husband and two rambunctious dogs. Though born and raised in Southern California near the beach, the mountains fuel her creative spirit. When not writing, she channels her creativity through other creative outlets like the performing arts and graphic design. When she’s not pounding away at the keyboard writing her next novel, you can find her reading multiple books simultaneously, trying her hand at an escape room, camping and hiking in the Rocky Mountains, or cherishing moments with the people who mean the most to her.
The thrilling conclusion to this faith-based dystopian fantasy book.
Amina and Salome still have things to do in order to secure peace between the Hebrews and the Notzrim. This story of love, loss, courage and what it takes to survive and thrive is worth the read.

What a way to end. Heartbreak, hope, and the longing for home. Britney Farr does a fantastic job of demonstrating that even when we fall short, there is grace sufficient enough to cover our mistakes.
Redemption is a huge theme in this book: redemption for Paxton, whose arc shows that anyone can be forgiven, redemption for Mimi, who walked away from her mother years before, and so many others. The last bit of the book was heartbreaking yet so full of hope, and I believe Farr ended it in the best of places.
My only complaint was with the proofreading, which detracted from the story a bit, but I am in love with these characters even with all of their flaws.
It's finally here! Searching for Refuge is now available on Amazon (print & kindle).
"Amina's mind drifted to her brother. Her stubborn, pig-headed brother. What was he thinking? He’s not a soldier. He’s too kind, too soft to be aggressive. And yet, there was clear determination in his eyes. He wanted to bring down the evil that he saw in the capital. He wanted. . . vengeance? No, that couldn’t be. Justice. He wanted justice. She hated letting him go, but if she’d learned anything from her mother, it was that trying to control someone only made things worse. So, she placed her trust in Sabaoth. That he would be with Aiden and bring some sense to him. Make my brother see that what he’s doing is pointless. Bring him home, where he belongs. I don’t know how you’ll do it, but I know you will."
