Just when he’s given up hope for a mate, Fate throws Yitro a curveball...

Omega Yitro has given up hope he’ll ever find a mate. At thirty-eight, his peak fertile years are behind him, and now that he’s pregnant as a surrogate for the pack alpha and his mate, no one will want him.

He’s okay with that. He’s fulfilling his dream of becoming a dad and has all he needs, including friends, like his roommate, Duer, whom he has grown close to.

When Fallon, a new dragon omega, moves into their cabin, he fits right in. Three men, all with considerable baggage, connect in ways they never expect. They spend a lot of time together, forging a closer bond every day.

As attraction grows between Duer and Fallon, Yitro is unexpectedly hurt and jealous. He should be happy for them, but suddenly, he can’t bear the thought of being alone. Without them. What is happening?

Meanwhile, the dragons develop their magical abilities, and they’ll need them because with every question they find answers to, they uncover more of the opposition they’re facing. But with honor and truth on their side, they’re ready to fight for what they believe.

Dragon’s Magic is the fourth book in the Irresistible Dragons series, which needs to be read in order. This book ends on a cliffhanger, and the romance and the overall plot will continue in the next book.

Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?

The short? You got it.

I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

The first half of this story was a bit of a struggle to get through. I was never interested in Yitro or Duer beyond their contributions as side characters in previous books, so reading about them falling in love with each other and Fallon didn't really do much for me. For some reason, I kept picturing Yitro as an old woman, and no matter how many times I told myself that he was, in fact, younger than me, I couldn't get rid of that image. His personality, his mannerisms, and the way he spoke didn't really help either.

Fallon and Duer experienced a lot of trauma in their past, and the majority of their story focused on them processing it in an effort to move forward with their lives. I'm sad to say that I was mostly unaffected by their conversations and realizations about themselves and their feeling for each other. This isn't the author's fault. Like I said, I never really cared about Duer, so it makes sense that, just as I didn't care much about his budding romantic relationships, I didn't care much about his past. It's just unfortunate that Fallon, someone who actually does interest me, has to be mixed in with them.

They make such a strange triad to me. And with two of them actively disappointed about being fated in the first place, I found the whole revelation hard to process...like, was I happy or disappointed for them? I guess Yitro doesn't have to worry about being lonely as he gets older but it's just strange that neither Fallon nor Yitro felt like they were mated and they just accepted it because Duer felt so strongly about it. Yitro and Duer were living together for over a year and felt nothing, then Fallon comes along and suddenly they're mates. It just doesn't feel believable. It's the first relationship within this world that feels this way.

Because the second half of the story focused a little more on the overarching plot, I enjoyed it a lot more. There were even a few chapters from Erwan and Rhene's POV, and that made me especially happy. Because this triad's story continues in the next book, I'm not as excited to read it, but I will if it means getting closer to Oliver's (or literally anyone else's) story and witnessing the birth of all those babies. 2.5 stars, though I won't officially rate it because this rating reflects me and not the actual story.

I knew this was going to have a soft cliffhanger which is more related to the romance than the overall plot, so that didn't bother me at all.

The romance itself is also a very 'quiet' one, given it features two men who've suffered serious trauma and an older omega who'd given up on ever finding a partner.

The three of them settle into a cautious friendship and it's lovely to see them slowly opening up to not only that, but also to the possibility of more - not that any of them is considering it with the others at first.

No spoilers on the plot, but things are discovered which will have major implications for the dragon/wolf alliance going forward and I'm dying to see what happens next there too!

Another really solid entry in this series from Nora.

#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review.

Solid read, but a bit of a curveball! The synopsis promised a deep dive into Fallon, Duer, and Yitro’s budding romance, but what we got felt more like a slice-of-life interlude with a dash of main plot progression. Not bad—especially if you’re like me and enjoy checking in with the rest of the pack—but I can see why this one didn’t hit quite as hard as the first three, which were absolute fire.

That said, I’m kind of over this trio already (sorry, boys), which is unfortunate since I’ve still got another book of them to go. Onward, though! Can’t wait to get back to the real drama.

3.5 stars for magic, pack feels, and still making me care (even if I’m dragging my feet a bit).

Fallon: omega dragon

Yitro: omega wolf, pregnant with Rhene’s and Erwan’s alpha heir

Duer: beta wolf, lawer

I was bored out of my mind with this installment, especially with the total lack of smut between the mcs. I adore Fallon but other than that I’m not really interested in this triad and their romance. I’m honestly dying for book #6 already.

A Joyfully Jay review.

4.5 stars

This book follows the same pattern as the previous ones in the series. We begin with a glimpse of the far past that gives the reader a clue as to what problem the characters are going to face in the story. It also ends on a cliffhanger, which the author has made clear from the start. Fortunately, more of this triad’s story, as well as the continuation of the through storyline, will be released in short order. The book is mostly told from Yitro, Duer, and Fallon’s POVs, but as we’ve come to expect, there’s also other characters’ POVs throughout. This series has a complex overarching plot that continues to advance with each relationship.

I liked it, but no action

So this is the one with Dragon omega Fallon, beta Duer and pregnant omega wolf Yitro. And their story doesn’t even finish!!

It’s a lot of talking about past trauma. One thing happens for the dragons. And nothing else happens in the over all story.

This is so far the book you can skip.

Ps: still waiting on those babies! Ugh

This book further builds on the intrigue and fantasy plot lines introduced in the first three books while seamlessly weaving in the new characters. It has multiple voices and revolves around uncovering and furthering the dynamics between the packs and clans. The romantic focus is between the three MCs Duer, Yitro, and Fallon as they get to know each other…and find out they’re fated mates. Considering the pasts of two of these characters the development of the attraction and their bond seemed to be sensitively handled by the author.
The attraction between them is only really voiced and acted upon towards the end and largely the interactions between the MCs are centered around their developing close platonic bonds which start shifting somewhat mid way.

Expect:

* Found family
* Hurt comfort
* MMM Shifters mpreg(wolf & dragons)
* Fated mates
* Discovering magic and powers
* Forced proximity

The book ends on a cliffhanger just as the author warns and while I did know that going in I still wished the the next book was already here to read since I felt really invested in these characters now and so I can’t wait to see where they go from here.

I’ve followed this series since the Irresistible Omegas series and while it isn’t nessersary to read about the Hightower and Hayes Packs, the Irressitable Dragon series needs to be read in order.

There is a lot to love about both these series- it’s full of fantastic world building and political intrigue, moral and ethical issues around science, identity and power and touches upon the natural and non judgemental balance of power coming from living your most authentic self and finding your tribe!

I love that the overall story arc for this series is becoming more complex with each book. Just when you think you have all the pieces, more come to the fore. I’m really looking forward to what comes next.

Another thing I really appreciate is that the pairings from the previous books are also a constant presence. So often in a series that involves books devoted to different pairings, the previous couples often virtually disappear, with maybe cameo-type appearances in future books. Not so here. In this series, the previous pairings all play a role in the story and often have chapters centred on just them, and I love it. After becoming completely invested in them, it’s great not having to let them go.

In Dragon’s Magic, it’s time for Duer, Yitro and Fallon to have their chance at a happy ending. A word of warning though, unlike the previous books, this one is an extremely slow burn. Two of the characters don’t kiss until around 85%, and there isn’t any conversation about them being in a relationship until around 90%. This slow burn is very understandable though, as all three are quite damaged individuals. Duer and Fallon are recovering from serious physical and psychological trauma, and Yitro has his own problems with the feeling that he is unloveable and ‘too old’ to be of interest to anyone.

Dragon’s Magic does end on a cliffhanger, and it’s excellent news that the next book, Dragon’s Stand is out in a couple of days, so no need to wait!!!!

I’m loving this series, I want to just hug all the characters, and I’m really looking forward to following Duer, Yitro and Fallon on their journey to their happy ever after.

Dragon's Magic is a slow, easy, sweet romance about 3 damaged people finding each other and learning to trust and love. I was disappointed when the ending seemed to chop the end of this story. Personally, I really wanted to know how these three with entwine, and do not see that there is enough here for a second installment. The ending left so much unsaid - almost like the author was rushed and ended it early while planning to add to it in another book. The book holds some key events or the overarching storyline and it is interesting that the main characters are not ones that you would think of as important to the story. A lovely read for an afternoon.

I love the world and story that Nora Phoenix's is building with this series and Dragon's Magic was a great continuation to it!

Yitro, Duer and Fallon's story was a true slow burn, there was mostly seeing them going from roommates to friends. It was really sweet to see these men becoming friends and taking care of each other in different ways. Both Duer and Fallon had traumatic pasts, and I loved to see them connect and lean on each other. These three men truly deserves a happy ending and I'm rooting so hard for them.

Even if the romance plot was slow here, there was a lot going on with the dragon lore and politics. I loved seeing the pack and clan learn more about the dragons' history, lore and magic, and I think there will be quite a lot more surprises coming as they uncover more and more in their research. The lingering suspense was really well done here, I couldn't escape a light feeling of dread - like something could happen at any time...

Dragon's Magic ended on a very soft cliffhanger and I'm so excited about getting to see where these men end up in the next part of their story!

Good Continuation

I'm rounding this up from 3.5 but it is a good continuation of the series. There just isn't as much going on in this one as in the previous books of the series IMO.

I enjoyed continuing this series. This book felt a little more emotionally heavy. While getting to know more about these is important to heavy baggage that they carry can be draining to read.
Learning more about the dragon world was great, but we didn't learn enough, lol. Which I'm sure will be rectified in the next book.
All in all, this was a good book. If you know you are someone who is easily triggered or get down when you read about someone's trauma I would skim over those parts. You can't really skip the book since it has a continuing plot.

I was correct; I don't really care about any of these characters. I'm also glad I'm not the only reviewer who feels this way. I'm guessing readers are just not connecting with these 3 because we hardly get to know them before now (besides maybe Duer, who is also in the omega series before this one), and then there's a massive background/trauma drop on all 3 of them. I appreciate the attention paid towards everyone's respective trauma, but I feel like the story was all over the place here and the characters were all constantly overthinking things. I would have been fine with this had it not been throughout the entire book. The ending was also a bit confusing and underwhelming. The parts I liked the most were the ones that included other people.

Overall storywise, I think you’d be okay if you skipped this one. Not a lot happened, which was a shame because the iverall story (what’s happening with the clans and the pack) was so much mire interesting than the three MC’s Duer, Fallon and Yitro. They were a bit boring and had zero chemistry (okay two of them have a history of SA but still, they could have been so much more interesting). Yitro felt like a third wheel. This series is starting to lose me. I hope the next book will be better…..

More Irresistible Greatness! Absolutely Amazing Story & Listen🎧

Dragon’s Magic
Irresistible Dragons, Book 4
By: Nora Phoenix
Narrated by: John Solo

Nora Phoenix pens another intriguing novel, the fourth installment in her fantastic “Irresistible Dragons” series. This book features Yitro, Duer and Fallon and the start of their relationship, it is also a continuation of what is happening in the pack and with the dragons, the ones living with the pack and the Doyles. There are some interesting developments and findings now that Emma is there to share information they were not aware of and I am excited to see what is to come for Rhene and Erwin and the Hightower Pack and the True Doyle Clan. Back to the featured characters, a pregnant omega wolf Yitro, a surrogate pregnancy and roommate beta wolf Duer have dragon omega Fallon move in. Fallon is doing so much for the all the dragons who defected from their clan, so they thought it best that he had his own space to go home to. The alpha dragons did a number on their omegas and it took them a lot of courage to leave, but it left them with PTSD and trust issues, including Fallon. Duer has a past that left him broken too and he can relate to what Fallon is going thru and they grow closer. Poor Yitro thinks so little of himself, thinking those two will leave him behind, but that could be further from the truth and what is happening amongst the three. I loved how everything played out in this book, Nora never ceases to amaze me with her impressive writing and ability to build a story over time, a multi-layered story with complex characters and storylines, she truly is a gifted author. Thank you for another exceptional story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 John Solo is an exceptional voice artist and storyteller. He covers the roles of all the, giving each their own distinct voice and personality, which not only makes the characters more memorable but also makes it easy to follow along and tell who is who. He switches roles seamlessly, handles the back-and-forth dialogue with ease and never misses a beat. You could hear how much heart he puts into his performance as he captures all the characters’ emotions and has you feeling each one. John Solo is a pleasure to listen to and his performance elevates this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fantastic listen.

Yitro, Duer, and Fallon moved at a different pace from the rest of the wolves and dragons in their clan, but their love journey was no less emotionally complex and satisfying. I really enjoyed the way Nora Phoenix gave these characters space to be themselves and develop as individuals and partners over time without rushing into romance or high-stakes action, and it set a different but welcome tone for the entire story. Compared to the previous books in this series, this one was lighter on plot points, with only a few big reveals and most of the time spent planning future actions and navigating day to day life around the ranch. The slower pace gave me a chance to get to know more of the wolves and dragons--especially the Murphy clan omegas--and it was fun to see everyone interacting and becoming a close-knit clan. A big theme of this story was emotional healing, with both Duer and Fallon working through their past trauma and starting to heal from it. It was wonderful to see both men feel comfortable and safe enough to share their stories and come out of their shells, and Yitro was such a kind and compassionate partner to both of them whenever they needed it. Yitro's character arc was more focused on his pregnancy and general feelings of being an outsider since he didn't have a mate, and it was so satisfying to see him start to lean on Duer and Fallon and let them care for him the way he always tried to care for everyone else. The three of them fit together so well as companions that I barely blinked when they realized they might be fated mates, and though I know they still have a long way to go before being fully settled in their relationship, I really love the start they're off to.

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

A presto 😍

This is a very slow burning romance, ending on a cliffhanger for these three guys.

We continue the overall story of the mystery behind the dragon clans. Again, the overall story arc is very well done, it gives a good update and some new and big information.

Character wise - we have another trouple. Fallon, the Murphy Omega draon, Duer, the beta who survived the abduction (part of the Irresistible Omega books but not really necessary to have read this) and Yitro who thinks with his age, his chance of a mate and love is just not there anymore.

When Fallon moves in with the other two, all go through a period of healing and self-discovery. They realise that they are still important, they are more than what happened to them and they deserve love and luck.

The author definitely has a way to describe fairly awful topics, but in a way that you want to cheer these on, you want to take them and help them. While reading their stories can be difficult, it's also written. in a positive way how they are coming through the other side.

But, the cliffhanger shows that fated mates are not necessarily happy about being fated. I look forward for the next part of their story how they will sort themselves out.

It's a very slow burn book and hardly any heat you normally expect from this series. That's for good reasons. I felt the cliffhanger came too early, it left me slightly disappointed that the story broke at this point but I think the book would otherwise be just too much and hurried. So I have to be patient and wait.

Omega Yitro has given up hope he’ll ever find a mate. At thirty-eight, his peak fertile years are behind him, and now that he’s pregnant as a surrogate for the pack alpha and his mate, no one will want him so he is happy with just friends like his roommate Duer. When Fallon, a new dragon omega, moves into their cabin, he fits right in. Three men, all have considerable baggage, connect in ways they never expected. They spend time together, forging a closer bond every day. Attraction grows between Duer and Fallon, and Yitro feels unexpectedly hurt and jealous. He should be happy for them, but suddenly, he can’t bear the thought of being alone. Without them. What is happening? Meanwhile, the dragons develop their magical abilities, and they’ll need them because they uncover more of the opposition they’re facing with every question they find answers to. But with honour and truth on their side, they’re ready to fight for what they believe.

This was a packed story as the relationship between the three men was explored, the integration of the dragon omegas continued and the investigations into magic, history and implications continued. I enjoyed that the wolves were able to add to the thought process and come up with useful insights. There were a lot of emotions involved in this story and they were generally well explored and explained. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content.

I am new to this series but I really enjoyed this book. I liked how I knew going in that there would be a cliffhanger. This book is a continuation of the Irresistible Dragons series but told from the viewpoint of Duer, Fallon and Yitro. Duer is an beta wolf who is trying to recover from a horrendous assault in his past. He and Yitro have been mentioned in earlier books. Yitro is an omega wolf and is happily pregnant. Both Duer and Yitro share a cabin. Fallon is an omega dragon. As the unofficial leader of the omega dragon escapees, he is gifted living in their cabin. When you read about their respective back stories it will break your heart. This is their story. I liked how they all treated each other with respect and care. Trying to help them cope or heal. While happy that Yitro is finally going to be a father, it hurts to see how lonely he is. His unhappiness grows as he sees Duer and Fallon becoming closer. He doesn't recognize the same thing between him and them. I liked that the love grew organically. No insta-love or lust here. I found their relationship to be sweet overall. This book is very well written and I am looking forward to the next book in this series. I really enjoyed this book.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Moving on with the series, I couldn't put this one down and devoured it quickly. This features Dewer the lawyer who helped Lidon in the first book of the first series. It's been two years and his mental health counseling is finally paying off. He can join in some pack activities and helps the omega dragons who have escaped the Murphy clan. He's also roommate to both Fallon from the Murphy clan and with Yitro, the older wolf who is surrogate for Rane and Erwine's baby. I listened to the audio so I'm sure I've spelled all the names wrong but I certainly love listening to John Solo's performance so it's worth some misspelling.

As the overarching plot unfolds and the dragons learn more about their clans and the politics behind the scenes, Yitro is approaching giving birth and Fallon is approaching his heat. All three: Yitro, Fallon, and Dewer have sworn they will never mate but fate has a different idea and they realize they are fated mates. But none of the three is willing or able to commit. Stay tuned to part two of their story because I'll be heading to that one shortly, I'm sure.

Nora Phoenix loves cliffhangers in this series. Each couple's story tends to arch over two books. So is that's not your thing then... Thankfully, I have KU and these are whisper synced so I'm enjoying the heck out of my one-click button. :D

Dragon's Magic is the 4th book in the Irresistible Dragon Series, it's not a standalone and should be read in order.

Although we were forewarned that book 4 will end in a cliffhanger, I still wasn't prepared for it.
The way Nora writes always giving us a recap of previous book in a series to refresh our minds of the events that took place before the current events. I really appreciate her for that.

This book follows Yitro an omega wolf; Fallon, an omega dragon; and Duer , a beta wolf.
Each character had their share of pain that felt like it would last a lifetime, but as these three grow closer they realized there's a bond.

The stories/secrets between packs and clans are starting to unravel, and I'm so eager for all the secret to come to the surface. I'm really wishing for a dramatic end to this series and can't wait to read the next one.

This series is good but I'm kind of wary that this series might get drag out longer than expected. I figure the characters will let the author know when it's time to reveal all. So waiting is what I'll do.

I received an ARC for an honest review.
Thank you Nora for always keeping us readers on out toes.
