Okay, so maybe I just hate retail work… and the general public… and feelings, but I don’t think I deserve a spot on the Naughty List for it. I certainly don’t deserve to be hand-selected as a holiday sacrifice either, but apparently, Christmas cheer isn’t the only thing keeping Santa’s magic going.
Now, I’m trapped in the South Pole, and if I can’t find a way to break down Krampus’s walls, literally and figuratively, I’m in for so much more than a lump of coal. Even though he was pulled from the darkest depths of folklore I still can’t help but feel him pulling on my heart… and pulling me into his bed.
With my life on the line, can I fix the South Pole’s bloody history? Or will I be just another Christmas corpse?
You better watch out… because Santa isn’t the only one coming to town.
so if someone gets in to naughty list by being rude then me and my resting bitch face going to rot in hell 🤝🏼
it was so GOOD, i was sure that this was going to be a 5 star 🌟 because; evil santa?? totally cinnamon roll krampus?? talking toys?? HELLOO this one had so much potential 😐
it was also so GOOD until the ending 😡 umm helloo when santa tries to kill you and torture your lover(who is btw his brother) you won't forgive him instantly?? santa was EVIL and then he was like ups my bad and everyone forgive him🤨😡
i was expecting krampus to be new santa😡😡😡 ugh i'm giving 2 stars because the ending ruined the book
I have been wanting to find a krampus holiday romance book to read for the holiday season, and this one was sooooooo boring. I read up chapter 10, and the FMC Holly and MMC Krampus spent no time together. Krampmus introduced himself to her, then ran off and hid while toys that could talk showed Holly around his home. I don't think the story is going to get any better, so I decided to dnf.
The first 100 pages of the book the MCs don’t spend any time together and the FMC is just taking a tour of the castle. When they finally do spend time together you don’t get any real insight into what they’re talking about because there’s a time jump where the author writes that they’ve been spending every day together. There’s no believable build up to their relationship, so this is definitely an insta-love situation but one where there’s no real spicy scenes until after 50% of the way through the book. There’s no explanation about why he loves her other than she’s pretty. Like that’s it. Before he’s said a single word to her he’s willing to risk it all because she’s hot. The cover art also does not match the description of the book, which is a really minor complaint but worth noting. It wasn’t a bad story, but I just like seeing the characters together and interacting a lot more. I just couldn’t believe that they were in love.
i'll admit i was prepared for an enemies-to-lovers trope in a big way, but there was very little animosity. Krampus declaring he was a monster made me believe he would be rough around the edges at LEAST, and pathological at worst. but it turns out that he was just made to feel like a monster, made to do monstrous things, but actually had a heart of gold from the very start. it was extremely sweet and despite him having horns, hooves, and an extendo tongue... the spicy scenes were *chefs kiss.* i left it at 4 stars bcs i was honestly hoping for some beauty and the beast magic that turned Krampus back into who he was before Nikolaus effed him up. even the ability to shift from his human appearance into his scary Krampus form would have made this 5/5 for me. that being said, Hollis clearly had zero problem with how he looked and i love that for them.
No Spoilers - Monster Romance, Enemies to lover, HEA, Holiday Romance, slow burn
Tricky one this, enjoyed it but not what I was expecting to be honest!
Loved Krampus, loved Holly, loved the side characters but wanted Santa dealt with good n proper. Cannot say more or risk my no spoiler ruling.
This is slow burn so if you want a spice heavy monster romance this is not for you, this is all about the journey. The setting is rich and easy to visualise, I was wrapped up in my sherpa blanky reading this and glad of it. Characters are varied and full of life, you will give your childhood toys an extra huggle for sure after reading this. Felt the Festive magic. A little slow in places for a Holiday Romance but I was invested overall in finding out what happens.
Enjoyed this but wanted a different ending because I think I am actually destined for the Naughty List oops!
Merry Christmas, I guess. lol. It wasn’t terrible, but there were A LOT of plot holes and inconsistencies that did take away from the immersion. But the vibes were good and I do love a sweet villain.
I’m sure I’d be on the naughty list as well by this book’s standards. We all have trauma and sadness, but I did relate to Holly’s anger and her inability to be vulnerable. It was sweet the way He cared for her.
I’ve been on a Krampus kick with Christmas approaching fast. This was a different take on Krampus than I had ever thought about. I adored Krampus and loved seeing Holly change. Santa was a dick tho 😂
So I read this book based off of an Instagram ad. The ad made the book to look more spicy than it was. Over all it was a good book. The spice level is a 1. So if you like me, were expecting more spice. This is not the book for you. Cute story though.
A very sweet story full of love and redemption as both Holly and Krampus learn to trust one another and enjoy life together. Absolutely loved it. A tale full of holiday warmth.
3 things 1: this is unique. The characters, the setting, and such have all been done before but it is put together with a storyline that makes this like nothing you have ever read before. 2. that Christmas spirit has a whole lot of explaining to do....I mean seriously! 3. Santa is so NOT jolly! Even if he tries to make up for it his reactions are so over the top uncool! If any of this makes you go about what the heck happens in this book read it you won't regret it.
