I may have escaped the lord of the Wildness, but it’s only a matter of time before Icarus makes his next move. I grew too close to the dark fae, and now I have to suffer the consequences.
If only the bond we share was the one broken by the Oracle.
The power that runs through my veins may be more than I can handle, but unless I’m willing to put my trust in another lord or lady of Luxia, I’ll never even have the choice to fully wield it.
The faerie crown might be rightfully mine, but the closer I come to claiming it, the less I want it. Whether or not I want it, however, my world is about to become a very dangerous place.
A strange wind is blowing from the abandoned faerie realm. Old prophesies are coming to light and somehow I keep finding myself—and that magic that flows through my veins—at their very center.
The Crown The Fae Forgot is the third book in a slow burn (but extra spicy) dark enemies-to-lovers fantasy romance series with multiple love interests, hidden powers, and handsome dark-haired villains.
I’m really enjoying this series, however, it could definitely benefit from being compressed into a duology once the series is wrapped up (assuming the 4th book is the last); there is a trend with the books in the series feeling like they only just start gaining momentum and are then suddenly cut off - in this book it was a cliff-hanger, but in a really unsatisfying way, and didn’t really have enough happen to warrant it; its like a bunch of side-quests that don’t really feel side-quest-y.
One thing that is to be said though, is this has such potential to be padded out and made into something phenomenal if it was going to ever get a trad release (or be re-released). There has been great character development, but I feel like there could be even more.
…I do appreciate the shorter wait between instalments and will keep reading. It almost feels serialised in that sense.
…eh. author would greatly benefit from an editor. MC is kind of boring, too much unnecessary internal monologue. best one of the series so far and its still 3/5
Aurra escapes the Wildness with the guys and they are brought to the Southern Court. Aurra finds out much about herself and the lady that rules the land says she can help her. They break the glamour and everything changes. Aurra has to find her way to the Eastern Court and face her mother after everything she did to her. The ending blew my mind and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book!
This naturally picks off where we left the crew, on the run trying to find a space to rest and re group,
We finally meet the lady of the southern court and get to see how the rulers of this kingdom differ in appearances at least
I really enjoyed seeing Aurra finally taking that leap of faith and learning who is worth giving her trust too and who to grant second chances too, I also really enjoyed seeing how these courts run compared to each other, definitely got some game of thrones vibes after meeting Lady Phyrra and seeing how she interacts with Shiel and her court.
I also liked seeing her trying to learn about this new way of life or culture if you will, “some things can’t be learnt from a book”
This series is definitely more of a slow burn, she’s rushed in once and learnt to be cautious.
The grand reveal scene felt a little lack lustre for me I feel like a more detailed description would have been beneficial to help the reader visualise the changes.
Overall this has been my favourite out of the series so far so I’m looking forward to the rest of this series!
Read them all one after the other and by 3 Aurra is just annoying. The writing isn't great, sorry! It's like Aurra doesn't even know what way the world is up. Which, fair, in her situation she would be confused... but she totally 180s on her own opinions ALL THE TIME. Like, she decides to give into and embrace her darkness and fully trust the Dark Lord, but then comes to a very sudden "realisation" that she is being used for her power. I just wanted her to make up her mind.
Her relationships with the boys are also frustrating, like... either pick one or be with all 3... majority of the readers came for self-proclaimed spice so wouldnt be shocked....but Aurra, hun, stop torturing yourself (and the readers) with the flipflopping.

That ending left a lot to be desired. I’m still not a huge fan of the fmc. She’s so wishy washy, especially in her head. There really isn’t a lot of talking that happens in the book. Lots of thought reading of the fmc. I still don’t see how Icarus betrayed her. Or if she just believes the guys word. She is ok Icarus side then the guys, then back to Icarus then to the guys. Without much of a real reason other than assumptions. The world building is very detailed. Nothing else could have been to describe, every facet of this new fae world. If the fmc could stop with the assumptions and then drastic reactions I think I would have liked her better.
This book is a great continuation of the story! As always Analeigh’s writing style makes the book so easy to read. This series is they type that, when completed, I’d binge non-stop on a weekend.
I love the fae boys, the found family aspect and Aurra’s connection with each of them. We meet some new characters that will, I’m sure, play a much larger role in the next book. The world gets a little bigger as the MCs travel to two more of the courts, there is some action, and a really good cliffhanger ending that will have you wanting the next book in the series straight away.
Wow that’s a cliffhanger if I’ve ever seen one!! I am really loving this series and can’t wait for the final book to come out!! My lack of a star does come from the same as most others are saying, definitely need an editor (I do understand they are indie and maybe don’t have one) and the fact that it could technically be made into a duology. I mostly say that for two reasons. 1. I don’t want to wait for the next one 😂 and 2. I am used to reading 600+ page books.
Knew she was a bitch. Downloaded a wrong copy, couldn't read the smut. 😭😭 That was the whole reason I started a new book instead of finishing age of Andinna. Read 3 books for what?? Hopefully I get some in the next. The last scene was quite thrilling or it would have been if I paid enough attention. The story still seems like insta love from the guys side. Idk. Whatever. Imma go read the next one now. Tata.peace.
the ending i can’t- i gotta know what happens. All in all, this book was a very fast read, which was perfect for a nice low-key Saturday evening, but the ending was a cliffhanger, and a pretty big, annoying one. I had thought that this series was only three books, but i think there’s going to be another two. Still loved it and can’t wait for the next one.

The plot of this book is pretty consistent with the others, not exactly super complicated or compelling but a good mindless read. However, the repeated grammatical errors were really distracting and kind of ruined anything good I could've taken from this book. Also, the ending was just kind of annoying.
This one was hard to get through…more grammar issues, I feel like some situations were just dragged on, and some parts just weren’t easy to follow. This one was my least favorite so far. Hoping #4 will be better.
Nothing is closed and this feels like it's going to be a long series without any resolution. I am totally confused and not loving it. Will I end up reading the next book when it comes out? Probably. Will I rush to do that? Probably not.
Really enjoyed this book as always with this series! I did not expect that plot twist at the end damn!! Can’t wait to see how this story continues!! I love the world that the author has created and I can’t wait to dive back into the next book coming out soon!!
