Hailey North is a USA Today bestselling author who began writing while employed as a “game show lawyer” for NBC Studios. Tired of hearing lawyers weren’t creative, she quit her job and typed “Chapter One” (not the chapter, just the heading!). Since that day, North has penned eleven romantic comedies, set in her adopted hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana, in her favorite imaginary town, Doolittle, Arkansas, and in her very own version of Purgatory. Her three-book “afterlife” series (The Diva, The Billionaire and The Hero) celebrates creative, but accidentally dead, characters trying their darnedest to win a second chance at life. North lives in Louisiana with her husband, her food-centric Labrador Shelby, and her three kindred spirit felines, Ali Kat, Rosa Pax, and Max the Cat Who Thinks He's a Dog. Daffodil "Daffy" Landry, twin to Jonquil "Jonni" is a society columnist in New Orleans and old money. She's unable to maintain a relationship for fear of turning out like her mother whom she found in bed with the father of a friend. She also moonlights as the "Dear Love Doctor" in another paper. As such, she comes to the attention of Hunter James, a self made millionaire computer guru. The attraction is instant, the sex hot, but both have to get over their hangups to accept the other.
Daffy Landry has always struggled to find her perfect mate, mainly because of her commitment issues and fears of letting any man get close enough to hurt her, which has earned her the label of a tease! She isn't so much a tease, as just a woman deeply afraid of getting hurt, which can easily be blamed on being witness to her mother's transgressions.
She spends her time handing out love advice to love struck folks in her "Dear Love Doctor" advice column, which ends up getting her in a little hot water with one man in particular, Mr. Hunter James. He finds her advice about him offensive and sets out on a mission to find the Love Doctor, and set the record straight. His mission ends up getting put on hold because of an spicy encounter with a stunning blonde. And little does he know this blonde just so happens to get him one step closer to finding the mysterious Love Doctor...

Dear Love Doctor by Hailey North My rating: 5 of 5 stars I loved this story. The quirky characters and comical scenarios are what made this book a must read for me. Daffodil and Hunter were adorable. Daffodil is insecure and opinionated, Hunter is insecure, uptight and frustrated. What they don't realize is that the issues and insecurities that they have are what make them a perfect match. Ms. North tackled everyday issues with a hilarious funny read. Dear Love Doctor by: Hailey North was a cute story with a lot of heart.
Its been long since i read this book. I only remembered it today because i picked up an book of the same author. And then i realized i read this book and i remember her name!!!!!!!! which is really rare so its big thing for me because i usually don't remember the writers i don't like and some times even the once i like. So go figure. This book was super fun to read. quick and lively characters no heavy crying stuff. Very Cute story. So you should give it a try if you have it. keep it for those gloomy days because its that kind of a book. Not even very hunky dory but a nice one.
This was a cute sotry. I love it! The only thing that wasn't the best is that it was a rather loose reason for him to try to find out who the love doctor was and then to promptly forget his mission! But, this was terrific!
