It's no secret that I love Jessica's books. I've read all of her books, and I would read her shopping list too if she'd made one for me 😉
This series is my favorite story right after Henchmen MC.

This story is about Brock.
An ex-soldier with a dark past that makes him the perfect man for special cases in the investigators company.
He's also an expert when it comes to women, which he makes no secret of.
His past in the military has taught him to be patient not only for others but also for himself. His time in the military wasn't easy, and after that, he had a complete breakdown until he picked himself up and started a new life.

Miranda is a self-made high-level businesswoman. She achieved her millions through hard work and sacrifices. She is a workaholic with very strong principles.
She's strong, smart and well-mannered.
All things that she had to learn to be the best in her profession.
Her work is her life and unfortunately, there is no time for anything else.

Until her life is threatened and Brock and his company come to rescue her from the dangerous situation and turn her lifestyle upside down.
I don't just mean her security but also her feelings and hopes for more than just work.

I love everything about this book.
This book is an action-packed, fast-paced page-turner romance with a beautiful HEA and amazing characters.

Sometimes when you wait for a book for a long time you are worried it will not be good. Well if you know anything about JG you never have to worry about that. Even if you have to wait years for the book it still never disappoints!!! Great book. Great series!!

This was a miss for me. I love the other three in this series, they’re some of my favorite JG books, but I just never felt the spark between the two of them and the ‘investigation’ wasn’t very exciting at all. The bonding moments the two of them had over 00s fashion trends and luxury watches were both cringeworthy and pretentious. WTF was happening here!! The whole narrative about the importance of women in business, the benefits of therapy, and America’s mental health crisis was borderline preachy for me. So yeah, this was really just not my thing and couple all that with the lack of chemistry between the couple and compelling/interesting plotlines and this was just a major disappointment. I’m so so bummed out but this seems par for the course lately for me when grabbing a JG read so I wonder if it’s more me than her 🤷🏻‍♀️.

High-powered workaholic Miranda’s life is turned upside down when she answers the door to her penthouse apartment and the last thing she remembers is being forcibly strapped to a gurney and whisked off to the psychiatric hospital for a mandatory stay. Institutionalized for something she didn’t do nor can she actually remember, the episode mystifies everybody but luckily her trusty personal assistant, Cam (who only ever gets the best of the best), demands that Sawyer’s PI firm pursue the case urgently. And who better to take on this job than Brock? Perhaps too handsome and charming for his own good, Brock’s (temporary) conquests have been getting a bit too close for comfort, so he’s fine taking on the challenge. But when he gets a good look at Miranda, something twigs inside him.

Absolutely original and, of course, brilliant storyline! Read the whole series – you can thank me later.

Brock & Miranda. She's a CEO of her own company and is placed into a mental facility on a suicide hold with no memory of how she got there. Her trusty assistant Cam calls Sawyer Investigations and Brock is assigned the case. The slacker man whore P.I. has some experience with mental facilities and is enamored with Miranda. She has it together and is independent and is intrigued by Brock. He is protecting her while trying to solve who committed her and attacked her. They grow closer with surprising circumstances. Mentions of Navesink: Grassi family, Mallicks, & Fenway, Bellamy is introduced who served with Brock in the military & Alice who was in the facility with Miranda. Love these intertwined characters

I was really disappointed by the womanizer Brock's book. The book starts off with him hiding in an office from the delivery person. He slept with her girlfriend. He claims he didn't know she was the delivery person's girlfriend until afterwards when he saw a photo of them together.

The heroine had her wrist slashed and was found in an alley. They thought she attempted suicide so she was stuck in a mental hospital for 72 hours. She texted her assistant she didn't do it.

So they investigate. And find nothing. No security video, heroine doesn't have a security system, and no idea how she got to that alley from her apartment. She doesn't remember.

The romance isn't there. At all.

When they finally have sex, it's right before a charity dinner hiding in a closet at the place where the dinner is being held. Wow, so not romantic from the serial womanizer. He keeps her panties afterwards.

I had to struggle to finish this book. We're also told he's had sex with many clients before but always AFTER they finish the job. So the heroine is special because he can't keep it in his pants even though she is still not safe.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

The heroine's assistant's boyfriend did it, he attacked her. He was angry she hired him for some ad work and then fired him, claiming the ad was bad. So the investigators checked out the assistant and never bothered to check his significant other. Even though the person who attacked the heroine somehow got into her building and got her out of the building without attracting any attention.

After many years we finally get the last book in The Investigators series. Brock finally gets his story.

Brock who had some dark times after his time in the military and goes through women like a fine wine. When the team is hired to find out why a woman who worked her way up to owning her own company and becoming a multimillionaire had been committed because of a suicide attempt, Brock, to his surprise, is assigned the case.

Brock finds himself, for the first time in his life, thinking of monogamy.

There were so many special treats throughout. Many characters from other series cameos and juicy teaser about Gabe from her Dark series. I so need that story.

There is also a spotlight on mental health which is such a prevalent issue today. Another great read and bittersweet ending of a great series. Hopefully will see the guys pop up again in other series.

The Investigators is one of my favorite series. Brock is another one of my favorites and perfect for Miranda. The laid back with the workaholic is a good combination. I love Cam and would love to have a friend/colleague like him. Addressing mental health was done in an understanding and honest way, and I'm glad Alice was brought back into the story. I was also glad for the adoption of kids as well. 432 Hours was pleasurable throughout and made me feel warm and fuzzy at the end.

Oh swoon.. I loved every character in this book!! Randi was perfect for Brock! I adored them together, her strength and yet his brooding self, both vulnerable in their own ways.

Genre & Tropes : romance suspensex stalkerish plot x ex military x business woman x forced proximity x spicy

A suspense romance that I devoured

I was really looking forward to seeing who Brock would fall in love with ... And I absolutely loved seeing him super-protective with Miranda !! But what I enjoyed even more was discovering characters who were much deeper and more imperfect than we thought (I especially loved the way Brock's depression was addressed !)

The plot was twisted (OMG, the culprit !! It broke my heart ><)

In short, a sexy and breathtaking suspense romance that I devoured !

Oh, man, did I love this! Probably because it was the most relatable to me. Loved Miranda, the boss babe with delicious curves. Then, layering on Brock's strong yet sensitivity towards mental health brings calmness to the perfect pair. A subtle but pleasant plot twist and a good spiciness also taught me a few new words, which I always appreciate from Jessica’s writing!!

Favorite Quotes

“woman.” That was the general belief. That I liked wealthy women. What no one got was that it wasn’t about the money. I made my own money. Good money, too, considering I slacked a lot on the initiative when it came to my job. It wasn’t the money. It was the worldliness. It was their sense of adventure. But above all else, it was the confidence.”

“Let’s just say that I’m not holding my breath or putting my life on hold for the so-called ‘right man,’ but I wouldn’t mind if he showed up, either.”

So glad that I saved reading this book until I had time to properly savour it!!
As usual with JG I was hooked from the prologue, wanting answers about who could be targeting Miranda, and how soon it would be before all that chemistry between her and Brock would lead to combustion!!!
Let's just say I wasn't disappointed 😉

Brock is just who I thought I would be with some added extra. From the banter at the office with Tig and Sawyer, to how he compassionate he is to those in need to reassurance, not to mention his sensitivity to the mental well being of those around him.

Once more the secondary characters are well developed, there were appearances by those I wasn't expecting but always enjoy seeing, and the happy knowledge that more books await us.

Jessica congratulations on yet another amazing book and here's to many, many more 💜

432 Hours is the fourth and final book in the Investigators Series by Jessica Gadziala. We finally get Brock’s book!!

I absolutely adore Brock. He’s such a sweetheart and in 432 Hours we learn a little bit about his past that surprised me. He’s given the lead in their newest case investigating who’s behind wrongly committing the beautiful and wealthy Miranda Coulter.

Miranda is another strong female character. She handled what happened to her a lot better than I would have. Watching she and Brock become closer was sweet. Miranda trusted him from the start and knew Brock would do everything he could to keep her safe.

I enjoyed seeing some old faces and catching up with older favorite characters.

Loved the premise

I loved the plot, successful business woman ends up in psych hospital with no idea how that came to be but has one clear thought, she’s not suicidal. She sends an SOS via her smart watch to her very capable PA who hires the best private investigative team who assigns Brock to work on the case. They meet sparks fly whilst the investigation is on-going. All in all, a good read. I just didn’t like that we weren’t told what happened in the beginning. We can infer from bits and pieces about what happened but an explanation would’ve been nice. Also, was she left for dead or to be committed to ruin her career?

Brock & Miranda

What a fabulous addition to this series! Brock has been the promiscuous comic relief of sorts through the series, and he has that vibe still in this story. But as soon as he meets Miranda, the promiscuous part is history.

I love their dynamic, the suspense of Miranda's drama that brings Cam to Sawyer's firm, the people we meet along the way. Cam & Alice are favorite supporting characters. Bellamy & Fenway are great comic timing when they pop up. And the epilogue!!!

Just a great story, love and banter and 🔥🔥🔥 to enjoy!

Love and Mystery

The final book in the investigators series, and it was amazing!!!
The perfect amount of suspense, questioning, and want.
Brock has always been the playboy you never think will find the one, and funny enough, she is exactly his type but a better version. Miranda or Randi is the idol all little girls need, self-made and confident with an amazing right-hand human.

I never expected who was behind the acts and I love that we kept guessing.
Such a great read and the little appearances by others we recognize is so much fun and smile inducing.

GREAT STORYLINE!

Not only were the characters awesome but so was the story. I know it dealt with hard subjects like PTSD and mental illness but the latter is something I’m very familiar with. My mother had schizophrenia as does my brother and at his manic stages can be very hard to take. The author has used her life experiences and brought us Miranda and Brock’s story into the real world. Although it doesn’t take place in Navesink Bank there were enough references and character appearances to appease the Navesink groupies!

A great book all around.

(Engaging)

Love the cover. Good story, though more typos than usual for a JG book. And there were some disjointed scenes; like who was Jenny and what happened to Jenny and how did the story go from seeing Jenny to the scene in the lounge.
And what made Miranda different from any other relationship that Brock had had in his life. And……. there wasn’t any explanation for Miranda’s background or drive to succeed or her accent (had a slight accent when she got a little frustrated over things) or even, why was the book titled 432 hours?🤷‍♀️

Miranda and Brock

Miranda is a brilliant woman who is very successful, running her own business but is attacked and to her horror after she’s found, is sectioned while the authorities make sure she’s not a threat to her own life. Cam, her right hand man rushes to get her help and enter Brock. He’s to look after her and her security until they’ve found out what happened to her.
I loved this story and it’s characters. Five stars

So Worth the Wait!!

I must say, I never saw this storyline for playboy Brock. It was open, heartfelt and tackled the struggles with mental health in an understandable and empathetic way.

There was just enough drama, intrigue & heat to keep you on the edge of your seat. Randi is a total boss lady! The only thing that could have made this book better would have been to flesh out her character more.

Jessica’s pen keeps getting better!

Very good series conclusion

I finally get this series now....all perpetrators are known by the victim. You just can't tell who are the betrayors. Miranda wakes up in a psych hospital and has no idea how she got there. Brock is assigned her case. Brock has been a womanizer in the previous books but Miranda knocks him on his as$ and he falls fast and hard. Now to figure who has it out for Miranda.

With so many other series I forgot about this one! Well worth the wait, I truly enjoyed Randi and Brock. I always enjoy a book where they are not fighting against misconnections, misunderstandings and missed opportunities.
Mature adults who knew what they wanted and went after it.
Also, good to read about a taboo subject such as mental health in women as well as men.
Well done!

Another great read

I dont think Jessica will ever write a book that doesn't get me hooked.

Absolutely loved Brick and Miranda's story. It's not your usual rich woman needs investigator story, which adds a whole new level of awesome, but one that is filled with twists and turns that keep you guessing.
