About the author

Cami Checketts is a USA Today Bestselling author of over a hundred clean romance novels. Through trials and tribulations

Navy SEAL Van Udy has endured much for his country, but nothing has been as hard as his fiancée marrying a slime of a man during a no-contact deployment 13 years ago. Finally divorced from her coercive husband of the past decade plus, Malory is trying to rebuild her life and her mental health when a package of evidence incriminating enough to take down the powerful senator is, quite literally, thrust into her hands. The only person she can think of who can help her is her ex-fiancé, Van. This story of Van and Malory learning to talk through the circumstances of their break and reconciliation kept me turning page after page. The confrontation at the crisis at the peak of the suspense was absolutely fantastic.
There was even TWO bonus books included in my purchase. The Captivating Warrior is the story of the incredible Sutton Smith and his thirty year relationship with his 'only woman' Liz. And The Committed Warrior regales you with the story of Gunner Steele and Lily Bella Jewel-Jolie.

I love this series! Van Udy and Malory have been in love for years but when Ted Malouf kidnapped Malory's parents while Van was deployed, Ted forced her to marry him or watch him murder her parents. Thirteen years later, Malory has finally escaped Ted and was able to divorce him. When some important evidence is dropped in her lap, Malory flees to try to save her own life and bring Ted to justice. Van is stunned to see his beautiful fiancé, Malory who dumped him 13 years ago when he was deployed. She lures him from the party he was at and begs him to marry her and protect her. Great story with tons of romance and suspense!

What an awesome addition to the series. This book contains the danger, suspense, intrigue, and romance; with action from the very beginning. Lt. Van Udy had been engaged at one time but his fiancé eloped and married someone else while he was deployed. Now Malory, his ex fiancé has tracked him to Summit Valley and wants him to marry her. Her ex husband had coerced her into marriage. She is now divorced but on the run from him. Will Lt. Udy be able to save the one he has always loved?

This book contains action, suspense, and romance and is action packed from the beginning. Malory and Lt Van Udy were engaged 13 years ago, but Malory was coerced into marrying her husband, a powerful politician, while Van was deployed. Thirteen years later Malory, divorced, receives information regarding her ex husband. She heads to Van for help and to bring her ex husband to justice. Will an impromptu wedding to Van, the truth of Malory's coerced marriage, and protection and help from Van and the Deltas be enough for Malory to be safe?
I enjoyed this story as well as this series.

suspenseful, as usual

Great writing.
This is the back story for Navy Seal, Chaos.
He was engaged to Mal 13 years previously.
While he was deployed, Mal married a powerful senator. Mal is running for her life after finally divorcing him. She runs to Chaos, a man who can protect her.

The story of them reconnecting is a bit unbelievable and why does this include a marriage? The story rapidly unfolds and involves the Delta Family. Lots of familiar faces if you've read that series. A satisfying conclusion. A good read.

If I didn’t enjoy her books so much, I might worry about Cami Checketts, but I’m just grateful she can come up with these characters and plots. I’m so thankful she has assured us that we haven’t totally gotten away from our Seals and the Delta family. Mallory has endured so much for those she loves, she deserves a Lt. Udy Van definitely comes under my heading of a very fine specimen of a man. I’m old, not dead. I so look forward to our new series.

Wonderful novel!

Cami Checketts is a great writer. Malory Grange was in a dressing room as a woman came into her room and gave her a file. She was the newest date of her ex-husband. She had to get away. Her sister called her as she was heading to the airport—and told her the woman had been killed. She then followed the email and found out where Van Udy was. Great story! Jeanette Stracner

Intense action yet full of fun

This was another fabulous book about the Delta family and the Seals who helped them. I enjoyed revisiting characters and learning new insights into the main one for this book. It is both a fabulous romance and action packed even if you haven't read any of the others.

I know when a book is excellent because I have went back and read the last 5 chapters three times. It was full of suspense, intrigue and romance. Unfortunately men like Ted are a reality and enjoy seeing and inflicting pain on others. I have read and enjoyed so many of this author’s book, so keep them coming and I will keep reading and loving each one of them.

Summit Valley

I love Summit Valley and the ski resort and with the Delta’s valley near by it’s a wonderful area with lots of hot military men and beautiful women. I so enjoy a series that intertwines friends and families from other books. You continue to see a lot of the same people and feel like you get to know them. Absolutely love that!!!

A great read

I loved this sweet, clean romance between Van (aka Chaos) and Mallory. A romantic suspense/second chance romance. Well written, strong characters and good plot line kept it very interesting! I'm just sad that we won't be another book with Wolf as the leading man.

Van and Mal

Loved the story. But no two people should have to go over so much especially Mal. She was terrorized by her first husband a senator whose a thug. She runs to Van whise the one she always loved.

Eginning ina new area is difficult. Addin a fear of any type of dog and you are off to a miserable start. But, along comes a feisty cabinet maker who just so happens to have a big loving dog. Life gets interesting.
