Holy Crap what a stupid book! I'm almost embarrassed that I era even a portion of it.

I was traveling through greater MN and had some spare time. The only place to get wifi was the local library. They were having a book sale and there was a grab bag of books of 2 dollars. I thought what the heck.

Some of the books have been fun, but this one - oh my gosh no. It makes no sense.

The two characters used to be a couple of some sort, but 80 pages into the book I can't figure out what they were to each other. Libby had been working at an ad agency and left after a guy got promoted over her - and started a house sitting business that was instantly successful and keeping her so busy she needed a secretary (for what?? Seriously, so many crazy plot holes. )

So she agrees to house sit at a big crazy gothic house, which was two houses originally, but the crazy inventor merged them together. But it's a big scary house. And of course, because it's big and scary it has a security system. Designed by crazy inventor - so it's not a normal system - it's motion sensing robots. Of several different sizes. And they come after you. And the inventor didn't tell her how to deactivate before he went on vacation.

But I digress - at the beginning of the book as she's settling into the house, Matt, the ex, shows up and demands that she let him stay with her because she's not safe. We're not entirely sure what he does, or why he thinks she's unsafe other than it's a big scary gothic house but she agrees instantly. And feels instant intraction. And it goes down hill from there.
Some times crazy sauce can be good - if the relationship or the attraction makes sense, or it's entertaining. This is just dumb. Wow.

When i grabbed this book from a box of books i had laying around I didnt expect very much. I am not one for romance books i find most books of other genre's have enough romance however i was out of books so i read it.
it wasnt what i was expecting robots, robbery and romance all tied up together mystery and action along with the romance. I did enjoy this book. I may take another look at my dislike of the romance genre.
