Always a romantic, Patti Berg spent her childhood dreaming about being whisked away by a knight in shining armor, a devil-may-care swashbuckler, s sheik on a shiny black stallion, or a broad-shouldered cowboy with a Stetson tilted low on his brow. Free is not always a very good price!

Boring drivel. Stupid, repetitive, to much crying, hand wringing, a boring ghost, poachers. Lack luster romance, yeah I didn't like it.

What did I think of the book? I thought it was a keeper. It does have a HEA. Both in the real world and ghost world. I had trouble putting the book down to go to bed, that's why I stayed up until 7:30 in the morning to see how the author brought about the Happily Ever After. I soaked a couple of men's handkerchiefs with my tears.

I read this in the spirit of Halloween a couple of months ago and enjoyed it. It is a contemporary romance with pronounced paranormal features. Ellie has escaped L A for a remote Montana town where she has purchased an ancient hotel which she hopes to turn into a B & B. She soon discovers the hotel is haunted by a 100 year old ghost who is imprisoned within the hotel and he cannot supernaturally escape its confines. She encouters bossy, arrogant but sexy Jonathan Winchester, the only man willing to help her remodel the hotel. Ellie is unwittingly involved with Jon's unscrupulous cousin in this business deal. The Ghost is simply amazing in this story and his restless soul hides a hideous crime that was committed against him a century's past and he cannot rest until he clears his name. Only Ellie and Jon can help him but sinister forces contend to keep the secret locked away. The plot is a bit on the improbable side but since it is a ghost story I supposed that is to be expected. The mystery unfolds very slowly but the book is still a page-turner and full of the intense sexual heat that Ellie and Jon generate in each other. This title, I believe, is only available in Kindle format.

I absolutely loved this book! What a great story!! Captured my attention from the first and held it right through the entire book! The characters were wonderful, and I really don't have a bad thing to say about this book. It's a keeper for me, and I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes ghost stories, and a bit of sexy stuff to boot (pardon the pun), which you'll get when you read the book! Will definitely check out more of this author!

Oh Patti, you did it again...I loved this story. I love your tender touch with the characters, the ability to make me believe in the unbelievable, to want to be there sharing their story and their trip into their world. Thanks, loved it!

While I really enjoyed the storyline and its many twists and turns, the cover nearly kept me from reading Haunting Ellie. The story was much more than a formulaic romance novel. The cover detracts from reaching a wider audience that would appreciate the tale.
