This short read is a good primer in Egyptian history, mythology, and important figures. It is a quick overview, so you don't get a lot of detail, but Russo does a good job of trying to cover the basics in a fair way. It is one I would recommend to anyone looking to learn about ancient Egypt, but would be basic for anyone who already knows things.
