She has a secret.
He will always fight for what’s right.
They’ll need to uncover the truth if they’re to stay alive.

The last place Aria Cusak ever wanted is to be back in her deadbeat hometown. Yet, she has no other option, without a job and no place to stay, she’s pretty much hit rock bottom. She hopes to find redemption with her fractured family, but even that doesn’t go according to plan. Then a job opportunity arises at Stargazer Ranch and things start to look up.

Deputy Sheriff Jude Wilder is back on duty after recovering from a gunshot wound, when he pulls Aria over for a minor traffic violation. He remembers her as the cute, but shy girl from school with the traumatic past. But now, eight years later, she’s blossomed into a beautiful, yet somehow still vulnerable, woman.

Against his better judgement, Jude offers Aria a place to stay at his house until she can get back on her feet. Aria reveals she had a teenage crush on Jude, and things heat up between them. But when there are three murders in quick succession, and Aria becomes a suspect, Jude is torn between wanting to protect her, and doing his duty by taking her into custody.

When Aria’s nightmares from her past show up, and she becomes the next target, she thinks she’s alone, but Jude hopes to prove her wrong. He vows to put everything on the line to protect her. But when she tells him her shameful secret, will he be able to keep that promise?

Suzanne Cass has always had a fascination with the tough resilience of people who live in our amazing red-dirt outback country. Much of her adolescence was spent working as a jillaroo in the Snowy Mountains, forming her love of lean, enigmatic, cowboy heroes in wild, passionate, dangerous stories. When not writing about the characters that inhabit her head, Suzanne can be found prowling the Perth beaches with her border collie, or yelling from the sidelines as her two sons play sport. Her debut novel, Island Redemption won the Romance Writers of Australia award for best unpublished romance novel of 2016.

Silverstorm is book six in the Stargazer Ranch Mystery Romance series by Suzanne Cass. Aria Cusak was in trouble with no job, and no were to live and decided to return home. Aria thought her life was improving by getting a job at the Stargazer range and Deputy Sheriff Jude Wilde providing her with a home. However, that was not the case. Her father, sister and brother-in-law were murdered, and she became the prime suspect. The readers of Silverstorm will continue to follow Aria Cusak to discover what happens.

I was excited that Suzanne Cass was returning to the Stargazer Ranch, and Silverstorm was an excellent addition to this superb series. I engaged from the first page and had trouble putting this book down. I enjoyed how Suzanne Cass incorporated issues affecting communities into the plot of her books. I love Suzanne Cass's portrayal of her characters and how they intertwine throughout this book. Silverstorm was well-written and researched by Suzanne Cass. I like Suzanne Cass's description of the settings of Silverstorm, which allows me to imagine being part of the book's plot.

The readers of Silverstorm will understand the issues surrounding religious cults and undiagnosed mental illness. Also, the readers will learn about the work needed to start a disability riding school in a rural area.

Thanks to the author for my AR copy and an honest review. I recommend this book.

Aria has hit as low as you can go. Sleeping in her car, almost out of gas and stealing food.
Here very last chance at getting her life back is a Job at Stargazer Ranch. The last person she thought she would run into was an old crush from high school. She left town six years old and never looked back. To say her relationship with her father was rough would be an understatement for sure. Her only other kin is a sister that she hasn't seen or spoken with, not even going to her wedding,
Jude is a deputy and stopped her for bad tires. He is shocked to see her back in town. He has had some dealing with her father. As these two run into each other and find out more about each other neither expects all the events that are about to unfold into their lives. There is so much suspense, mystery and attraction between them things heat up really fast on a number of fronts. Suzanne has a way of drawing you into all the feelings that you feel like you are right there with our couple. This is a really fast-paced book and once you start it you can't put it down. Lots of twist and turns and secrets too.
Our couple have a lot to deal with. I loved the story, but was a little disappointed by the ending.
With the passion and feeling both have I thought it would be different.
Be sure and get your copy, all the books can be read as stand alone, but so so much better read in order.
That way you get a feel for each couple and what they had to go thru to their happy ending.
I received and ARC from the author and wish to thank her. This is my honest opinion and am freely giving it.

This book had an ending that I definitely did not see coming. Our heroine returns to her hometown with very little money, no job, and a small secret. Her attempt to see her father only gets her another rejection by him. She gets stopped by a good-looking policeman and given a stern warning. She tries to find her brother-in-law and older sister but doesn't find anyone at home. She then lands a job at Stargazer Ranch, but that bright spot soon deems when she receives some rather upsetting news. Now as the police try to find answers, our heroine becomes suspect number one. Read this page-turning story to find out what the crimes are and to see if our heroine committed them. Also, what is her little secret and how does it factor in. One policeman puts his job on the line to help find the truth. This book is a good addition to the Stargazer Ranch series. Although it can be read as a standalone, there are reoccurring people involved in the storyline. Join old friends or make new ones by getting involved in this mystery.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I highly recommend this book for those who enjoy reading romantic suspense. I enjoyed this book where Aria Cusak returns to her hometown in Montana. When she shows up at her Dad's house, he turns her away. He is the reason she left town after high school, but she was hoping to make amends. When she goes to visit her sister and her brother-in-law, their vehicles are there but no one is around. Since she is broke and hasno whereto go, she decides to steal some candy bars for food and hides her car near a forest in order to sleep until she can find a job. When Deputy Sheriff Jude Wilder finds her, he refuses to let her sleep in her car and offers her a place to stay. They went to school together and had a crush on each other but neither knew. Jude finds her a job at Stargazer Ranch. Things are starting to heat up between Aria and Jude until her Dad, sister, and brother-in-law are found murdered and Aria is the main suspect. Will she be found guilty? You will have to read the book to find out. The story is intense and holds your interest from beginning to end. Even though it is part of a series it is a standalone. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

It's been 9 months since I was last at Stargazer Ranch and I was hopeful for the people there and in the small town that they had seen the last of the crime that has hounded the people who live and work there. Alas, it wasn't to be.

I really enjoyed Silverstorm, the newest book in this series. Deputy Sherif Jude Wilder who got injured in Cloudburst (book 4) after trying to protect Penny and Clayton (who I was pleased to see were still together and going strong) is drawn to Aria when she arrives back in town after being away for years and who never planned to return.

Aria's backstory wasn't a happy one with her home life being bad enough she left town as soon as she could, and she has been estranged from her father and her sister since. Though she is hopeful she can reconnect with her sister now she has returned, it seems that fate has other ideas and Aria's life is thrown into chaos when a murderer arrives in town who seems to be connected to her and her family.

Once again Jude, being the lovely guy he is steps in to help Aria who isn't used to having someone who wants to help her or take care of her, she's arrived in town with her self-esteem at an all-time low, homeless and jobless, newly single and pregnant and scared to rely on anyone but herself. Jude is such a nice guy, and I liked how despite his reservations he chooses to support Aria from the moment he realises she needs help.

There were plenty of twists and turns throughout this story, an unlikeable detective who I wished Jude would shoot many times throughout the murder investigation (unfortunately he didn't) and some very deluded bad guys who put Aria's life in danger. There were a few edge-of-the-seat moments when I wasn't sure if things were going to turn out well for Aria and Jude which kept me up reading in order to find out what was going to happen.

I loved how once again the Stargazer (found) family are there to support one of their own after Aria gets a job there working with Naomi one of the owners. Aria really lucked out when she got a job there, I wish I could find such a great place to work, minus the murders, arsonists and kidnappers of course.

I hope sometime in the future we get another Stargazer story.

I really enjoyed this book as I have all the books in Suzanne Cass's Stargazer Ranch series.
Aria Cusack stared into the eyes of Jude Wilder, the same Jude Wilder who she had massively crushed on in high school, that was eight years ago before she had left to live in Portland and now Jude was the deputy sheriff who had pulled her over because of a faulty light and a bald tyre, things couldn't get any worse........or could they ?
Aria had a applied for a job as marketing manager at Stargazer Ranch in her hometown of Stevensville at the foot of the Bitterroot Mountains, Stargazer Ranch was a luxury resort, Aria had to get this job, she had no money and no place to go, she had visited her father and been turned away, she was reduced to sleeping in her car.
Jude could see the desperation in Aria's face, a face that he had been attracted to in high school even though she was two years below him.
Against his better judgement Jude offered Aria a place to stay, she was reluctant at first but she didn't have a choice.
It soon became clear that Aria was part of a tangles web through no fault of her own, Jude's protecting instinct was in overdrive, he knew that her life was in danger and he would do everything in his power to keep her safe despite police interference.
This is a great mystery story with multiple murders, the rantings of an old man, police corruption and of course the off the scale chemistry between Aria and Jude.I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.

An exciting murder mystery romance set in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana. Eight years after leaving home, Aria Cusack returns hoping either her father or sister will offer her somewhere to stay. Her father slams the door in her face and Aria's sister is nowhere to be found, leaving Aria without enough money for a hotel reduced to sleeping in her car. That's where Deputy Sheriff Jude Wilder finds her. Knowing each other from school, Jude offers Aria the use of the cabin behind his house while she looks for work. Aria finds the perfect job at the Stargazer Ranch but within days there's a murder and Aria is the main suspect.

The story continues as people disappear followed by more murders, all seemingly connected to Aria. Jude knows Aria is innocent of any crimes but an unpleasant detective is determined to solve the case by proving that she's the culprit. Then Aria becomes the murder's prey.

That’s all I should tell you, more would contain spoilers.

A compelling read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this latest installment in the Stargazer Ranch series. Aria and Jude were a likable couple, and their chemistry was off the charts. You couldn’t help but cheer for Aria to catch a break as one bad thing after another happened to her, and Jude made a great “knight in shining armor” as he jumped in to help her at every turn. It was also good to see other characters from the Stargazer family from previous books as they offered Aria the warmth and encouragement that she needed to face her difficult situation. The epilogue brought an ending that left me feeling warm and fuzzy, and I love that. All in all, this was a nice blend of mystery and romance. Ms. Cass is one of my favorite authors, and I applaud her for another great read. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author, and have given my voluntary and honest opinion.

Within the first few pages it felt that I was home in the world of Suzanne Cas' Stargazer. Her words and writing style just seems so much her own individual personality and brings me into a place of peace and comfort despite the nature of the book.
A story of sorrow, need, despair then being wanted, loved and secure. When death happens there is doubt, fear then closure.
Aria arrived back in town and Jude pulls her over because of a traffic violation. They were reminded of a feeling they both had in school. As they become caught up in suspicious deaths, they remain in contact.
I am always spellbound by the series written by this author.
I received a copy and am happy to leave my review.

Aria has been away from Stevensville for eight years, when she left she didn't realise she'd be back. Now she has no job and nowhere to live. Then she gets pulled over by the local deputy, Jude, she had a crush on him years ago.
She gets the job at Stargazer as a marketing and media person. But now there's problems at the ranch, some cattle are missing, is this related to Aria's father's demise, and where's her sister?
Who is being targeted? And why?

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A great read from Suzanne.

Another trip to Stargazer Ranch.

Aria has returned home and is looking for anew start at Stargazer Ranch. Jude meets Aria when he pulls her over.

Aria wants to move forward, but she is hiding a secret. Jude just wants to protect her.

This story has twists and turns, as well as emotions that you weren’t expecting to read.

Definitely one that needs to be read.

Aria was forced by circumstances to come back to her hometown, a place she never wished to see again. From the start strange things happened, with people turning up dead and her being a suspect. But Jude was her knight in shining Armour, believing in her when others would not, being there for her when her world crumbled around her. I loved their story, they just fit so well together. I received an ARC copy and am leaving a voluntary review.
