This was an enjoyable read. Sarah comes to Texas to meet someone. However, someone has plans and turns her life upside down. She meets Jacob and he helps her figure out what is really going on. They also fall in love and get their happy ending.
A very sweet, clean romance with very likeable characters you get to root for. Sarah is a publishing agent who goes to Texas to meet with a potential client. While sitting in the town diner waiting for her client, a very grumpy man approaches her and asked if she called for a car service. Well she hadn't but he seemed to have a picture of her on a ride order. But Sarah did see that although this picture looked so much like her, there were some subtle differences. After being stood up by this new client, she decided to go to the hotel and when she tried her car, it wouldn't start. So she hat the waitress, Cam call a tow truck guy who happens to be the same person, Jacob, that thought she called for a ride. Well now she needed one. He grumpily came and told her one of her spark plugs was missing. Something was fishy. When she found grumpy Jacob is the only ride service around, she grudgingly accepts a ride to the hotel that he grudgingly agrees to give her. It just so happens it is a hotel he just happens to own. But, when they get there, they find she already registered, but it wasn't her. Now things get strange and with Grumpy Jacob's help and a police investigation things go from strange to weird. Who is posing as her and why? What is going on? Jacob offers to take her to a safe place which Sarah agrees to since she has no idea what is going on. Things grow and continue and get even stranger when a baby, Christie is left on the doorstep of Jacob's safe house. What in the world is going on? Jacob decides they have to go to some place safer with the baby and try and figure out what is going on. With so many threads, the help of Matt, Jacob's brother at Jacob's family ranch Sarah, Jacob and Matt try to get through all the twists and turns that are thrown their way. And what does Sarah's family have to do with any of this? And what about the strange not that came with the baby, Christie? Can all this get resolved? I really liked this book and the characters portrayed. I received and ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
A Case of Mistaken Identity and an Abandoned Baby!
by Barbara Kelley
"Grumpy Cowboy Protector" is a Clean Contemporary Small Town Billionaire Romance, written by Rose Luv. This is the first book I've read by this author. I really appreciate the sexiness without all the graphic sex. This is a book that can be read by youngsters, as well as oldsters, like me. Jacob is the grumpy cowboy who is protective of Sarah, a young woman who is new in town on business, and is being preyed upon by an evil lookalike. There are subtle differences in the videos of the lookalike, such as she has a distinct limp, when Sarah does not. Sarah doesn't know that Jacob is a billionaire who owns several homes, apartments, and businesses in town. This is also the story of a tiny baby girl named Christie who is abandoned by her mother, the woman with a limp who is impersonating her. The baby's hair is the same color as Sarah's, leading both Jacob and Sarah to believe this baby is related by blood to Sarah. Sarah talks by phone to her sister, Kate, who when she is told about the impersonator with a limp, Kate says they have a cousin who broke her leg in three places when she was really young. Is this cousin the woman who is impersonating Sarah? Is she little Christie's biological mother? Will Jacob and Sarah, with their feelings growing for one another, get married and adopt little Christie? I gave this book 5 stars and will be reading more of this author's work. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and have given my honest and voluntary review.
A case of mistaken identity. Sarah arriving in a small town in Texas finds herself involved in a case of what is going on, who is passing for me and using my identity to seemingly drive me crazy. Sarah is in the small town to interview a potential writer for the firm she works for. But she finds herself involved with many weird happenings. She has a wrecker and it's owner arriving to fix her car when it doesn't need to be fixed and then finds herself needing the wrecker to come back when her car does need to be fixed. She goes to a hotel to find she is already registered and has a room. The wrecker guy is actually the owner of the company and so much more and gets involved with Sarah trying to find out what is really going on and finds himself falling for Sarah. The story gets more interesting as Sarah finds out about who is using her identity and finds herself falling for the cowboy. Questions are answered, problems are resolved and there's a happy ending for the cowboy and Sarah.
This contemporary small-town billionaire romance is page-turning with realistic characters and exceptional world-building. Their journey is enthralling with a grumpy billionaire cowboy in this western ranch clean romance that has forced proximity, an alpha protector, drama, passion, adventure, love, wealth, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her reader's hearts and attention with a grumpy cowboy protector and a clean contemporary small-town billionaire romance.

A well-written and quick to read novella, the storyline is interesting, sweet and clean. Sarah goes to Texas to meet a potential writer for business and ends up having a few unfortunate incidents that make Jacob, a small town business owner/billionaire and grump, worry about what is going on. He's immediately attracted to Sarah in a way that has never happened before and when a baby turns up on his doorstep for her, he's determined to protect both Sarah and the baby and figure out what is going on. Good Story.
Rose Luv has created a wonderfully sweet romantic story. It is well-written and a quick to read novella. This contemporary small-town billionaire romance is page-turning with realistic characters. The story line is enthralling with a grumpy billionaire cowboy and a strong opinionated young woman. Sarah travels to a small town thinking she is going to meet an author but soon finds out that she is in for a lot of drama and mystery. Jacob comes to her aid and soon gets involved in a strange situation. This story is about family and their secrets, misunderstandings, and healing. Well written character development with just the right amount of mystery. I received this ARC and voluntarily give my review.

This is the story of Sarah and Jacob, as she goes on a journey to a small town to meet someone but things don't go the way she imagined, when she doesn't know how to get out, Jacob saves her. wonderful story that reads well, a bit of drama, unexpected twists and lots of romance. This story held my interest from the beginning. Sarah really has no idea what is happening and is grateful for the help Jacob is giving her from the beginning. These characters make you feel right in the middle of their lives. This story is filled with lots of love and the importance of family.

Gentle, fraught at times but never boring. This story is harrowing in some places but ends in an uplifting way. I normally enjoy a little sex scene in my romantic reading. This story has none of that but you do not feel the loss as you are carried away until the end. Good work.
Sarah came to Texas to meet with a writer, but when she gets there things are not right. She meets Jacob who she does not get along with at the start, when they get to her hotel things just get weirder. I enjoyed seeing these two with their ups and downs, drama, mystery and suspense get their happy ending. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Narrative and dialogue alike were rather stilted, read like an author's unpolished first novel. Numerous punctuation and grammatical issues. Lastly, chapter 6 appeared in ,y kindle version twice, once embedded within chapter 5 and again indexed as chapter 6.
I really enjoyed this story! A romance with a little intrigue and suspense. I like the Christian element of Jacob praying but it is not a “preachy” book. The characters were delightful in this fantastic story. I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however, I voluntarily wrote an honest review. All opinions are strictly my own.
This book was a hoot from the first page. The characters are down to earth and seem so real you feel you know them. Is she in danger or is this someone's twisted idea of a joke? Fortunately, she met a handsome man in the rain who will keep her safe thru thick and thin.
This is a sweet, small town romance but with plenty of edge of seat moments. I enjoyed the mix of characters. It's a well written book with a great storyline that flows smoothly from one page to the other.

Really enjoyable book, that had a lot of different emotions and twists. The characters really care for each other and the story is written very well. Sometimes we read a book that stays with us for awhile, this was one of them for me.
Jacob has the grumpy part of his personality down pat, but Sarah puts a crack in that façade without even trying. Lured to Texas, Sarah seems to be having a run of bad luck with the solution always seeming to end with Jacob. This story deals with a Sarah look alike, an abandoned baby, stolen identity and Jacob’s relationship with his brother. All these will keep you reading and guessing. Enjoyed the book.
I enjoyed reading this book and especially so, because I like to read about how grumpy guys get a makeover. I also like cowboy stories, so its a win-win for me.

Oh my goodness…this was such a beautifully done story. The storyline was really good; the characters certainly well developed; a pretty straightforward plot; and a truly beautiful HEA. This one is well worth your time. ❤️
The plot is very interesting but, it desperately needs a proofreader/editor. Punctuation errors drove me completely out of the story numerous times. Also, chapter 6 is a duplicate of chapter 5, at least in part.
