Originally, I read Burning for the Billionaire when it was published as a serial. After I finished each new portion of the series the anticipation just about killed me as I awaited the next piece of the story. I likened this to literary edging and Ms Paris was a master (mistress?) of it!
And now the opportunity to read the story as a whole unit is available and it has been so good to read Grace and Rowan’s story again.
The relationship that develops between these two characters will have you swooning, cringing and at times wanting to slap Rowan upside the head for his behaviour. But watching Grace develop and find her voice is so worth the read.
The story deals with many types of truths. Truths told, truths withheld and unknown truths discovered. Some of these truths the reader will have had an inkling of, while others will come as a complete surprise.
Of course no story is complete without a supporting cast of friends and family and the dynamics of both Rowan and Grace’s families are often cringeworthy. Yet, as truths are revealed regarding Grace’s family a degree of understanding and support develops that will have a key effect on the story as it develops.
Ms Paris manages to keep the reader engaged by writing a well paced story with just the right amount of action, angst and heat. There are a few scenes that were great fist pump moments for me (the face off between the two mean girls is brilliant) and I was delighted to have the opportunity to revisit them.

I loved this story from beginning to end. Grace and Rowan's characters play off eachother so well. She's a young woman, trying to create a future for herself, by herself. Rowan is a 40 something year old man who needs more in his life, according to his sister. Well boy did he find his more!
The electrifying chemistry between these two is evident from the very beginning and it only gets hotter as this story progresses.
This series kept you guessing as to who was going to do something next to poor Rowan and Grace. With all of the extra drama from the supporting characters, I couldn't put it down.
You should really pick up this boxset and give it a read. I mean, who doesn't want to read about a super hot, super rich firefighter who finally finds his forever.

These is a beautiful boxset. It's the story of Grace and Rowan, Grace was rescued by Rowan when she was in a fire incident. The sexy alpha firefighter talked her through the fire, safe her and tried all he could to help her through recovery. Along came some steamy moments.... wants to know what happens? Please get your copy and thank me later. Great job by the author and I recommend it. I received an ARC for my honest voluntary review.

Amazing age gap read!!! This is a great read with a lot of steam, family drama, laughs, and love. Rowan and Grace are opposites, but they bring out the best in each other. The side characters are great as well. There is a lot going on in this read and everything gets concluded and ends amazingly. I LOVED THIS BOOK and can't wait for more from Hope Paris!!!!!

What a journey! An emotional roller coaster; two characters with difficult childhoods and impossible families, barely a person for either to rely on. Secrets and insecurities to overcome. Steamy and sweet with a dominant edge and don’t forget the cute dog that relieves tension. Rowan and Grace certainly didn’t have an easy road to their HEA but they did get there in the end.

DNF - I’ve known this man five minutes, I think he’s married and cheating but he told me he’s not, so please take my virginity.

great read!
This book has it all! From love to hot bed scenes and the struggles in families, as well as weaving hurt feelings and misunderstandings that do eventually get sorted. Couldn’t put this book down!
