When Victoria Sedgewick’s cousin falls under suspicion for a crime she did not commit, Victoria must protect her. But with a new danger arising at home and trouble threatening her friendship with Branwell Keats, will Victoria be too distracted to prevent a horrific tragedy?
Blythe Baker is a thirty-something bottle redhead from the South Central part of the country. When she’s not slinging words and creating new worlds and characters, she’s acting as chauffeur to her children and head groomer to her household of beloved pets.
Blythe enjoys long walks with her dog on sweaty days, grubbing in her flower garden, cooking, and ruthlessly de-cluttering her overcrowded home. She also likes binge-watching mystery shows on TV and burying herself in books about murder.
I'm being generous with a four star only because it doesn't really hold up with the series so far. It reads more like the intro to the next in the series. Most of it was lamenting why Mr. Keats seemed to be avoiding her (he doesn't make an appearance in the book), and she kind of stumbles into solving the mystery.
Death Below A Restless Moon finds MS Victoria visiting her cantankerous relatives, and dealing with new challenges. Her character becomes more developed when we learn about her upbringing.
