Emilia's life was seemingly perfect: a loving husband, a beautiful home, and a dream job. But when Emilia catches her husband cheating, everything she had comes tumbling down. Her life couldn't possibly get any worse. Until she's bitten by a werewolf. Now she's thrust into a new world with new rules and possibly, a new mate.
Elijah didn't believe he'd ever forgive himself enough to fall in love...until now. With Emilia as his Luna, they could make their pack the strongest in the region. But when rogues cross the border, they go for the jugular, forcing Elijah to choose: his mate or his pack. Will he concede, giving up his position as Alpha to save her or will he fight, risking both of their lives in the process?
Discover what is in store for Emilia and Elijah in Mikayla Whitaker's new steamy fantasy romance Luna.
I enjoyed this book alot. I loved the funny moments that this book had, as well as the characters. The characters were very relatable and I loved how the Alpha had a funny personality which was described amazingly throughout the book. The book definitely had it's plots and twists, but I loved how it all came together.
A shape-shifting, steamy romance for sure! I enjoyed being a part of so many characters bonding, risking, and reaching for a happily ever after - together. There are so many interrelated storylines, behind the main plot, that it's clear how this universe can expand to follow members of the pack over time.
I think it would be useful for readers to see more thorough description of the content warning. These aren't just "various traumas;" they're very specific drivers of the storyline and I think the story wouldn't be the same without them, but I think more detail at the front of the book will let people choose their own adventures more accurately.
I'm a big fan of head-hopping and really liked how there were so many layers of communication among characters. It let some things be revealed and others kept secret in interesting ways.
One disorienting thing in terms of story mechanics was the way the last few chapters all ended with phrasing that felt like it marked the end of the story. If that arc from conflict to climax and then resolution were a bit smoother, this would be a great ride from start to finish!
Thank you so much for trusting me with this review. I loved reading my ARC and I'm grateful to be part of your process. I wish you and your readers every joy!
Dispite a few spelling/language mistakes I still enjoyed the pace. The Alpha is a soft but strong protector. Emilia had to overcome her emotional drama, then trauma with the death of her brother as well as being turned. Then more follows before things change in the shifter world. This is my first time reading from this author and I need to say they didn't let me down at all when I read it. It begins right from the outset it gives a gradual process however there are minutes I previously said to nibble the super female person. Yet, I additionally felt awful in the book since something happens that I cannot say. I truly like how the story and the idea of the book. I truly like the plan of the book cover and it really grabbed my eye to need to peruse this book! I loved it alot.
This started out so promising! It grabbed my right from the beginning. And I enjoyed the first quarter or so.
Some scenes had beautiful imagery and range of emotions. But then in other parts it was so dry and emotionless it was hard to continue.
Unfortunately after a while it was unfinished plot line to unfinished plot line and just quick wrap ups of things that seemed like major points but just ended abruptly.
We heard multiple times how dangerous it was for human to be bitten and to become a wolf. Many people die. And so predictably Emilia is bitten and she does get ill but suddenly she’s all better and then has this weird dream where she accepts her wolf and it kisses her and then she wakes up and it’s all done?
Another abandoned point that could have been very cool was this idea that a witch was present and working with the rogue. But yet we never hear anything more about her.
The villain, his excuse for attack was very weak. He made an outrageous accusation and at no point did it get addressed.
I didn’t DNF at the end I felt like it was just OK.
I’m probably not going to finish this. I don’t know why every time I read one of these books a (dark skinned curly hair) POC is always the betrayer or just gets magically turned into a lighter skinned person. It’s crazy to me. Like I get it, the story is from a non-POC perspective but why does the POC always end up in a negative light. I’ve never read one of these stories and it went well for one. I know it’s all made up but that’s my point they can blue and you give them better endings than us. I’m done. I’m not reading another one of these. You put her in just to tick off the box. Your book your rules I’m just not a fan of it. I know a lot people are just like it’s just a book no it’s more than that especially since I’ve read more than 15 of these this year and it has happened in more than half and I’ve just started reading in February. So leave me alone and let me vent. Just leave us out of it period if this is how we’re going to be portrayed.
I did over all enjoy this book and the characters. I loved seeing an alpha with a softer funnier side tha you often see in this genre. The characters I found likable and relatable always a plus. The characters features where a little unpolished making them a little difficult to picture.
I really appreciated the story moving forward past where most would have stopped creating a before, during and after effect of the MC relationship and experiences. Some of the chapters felt a little choppy moving from one time to another making a chapter of their life feel unfinished and the ending of the book a little rushed at times. Still a beautiful finish to the story I very much enjoyed.

This is a very past pacing insta love shifter romance. Emilia goes through lots of hardships and she overcomes that with the help of her alpha Elijah. But the plot dynamics were too shallow and we didn’t know the world of this story. This made me not understanding the thought process she was having. And the pace of the things happening was too fast. Every chapter was a month or a week later for some reason. The story got better towards the end. Overall this was an okay story but needs improvement.
Sadly I didn't enjoy this book. I couldn't connect to the characters which left me reading in an emotionless state. There were some events that should have shattered me, but didn't. This left me feeling guilty as I had no compassion for the characters. The guilt was so bad I read the book again to see if I could have a change of opinion, I didn't.

I love Emilia and Elijahs story. Emilia was a human that thought her life was perfect until she discovers her husband is a cheater. Being bitten by a wolf changes her life and bow she jas to learn a whole new way of life. Elijah is the alpha of his pack and with Emilia at his sode he thinks everything will be stronger but other things happen and choices need made. Loved.
This is a story of a girl who gets bitten by a wolf. She is the Luna of a pack of wolves, her mate is the alpha. There is some rivalry between brothers, rogues and friends. The first half of the book was great. The second half I felt it was hurried. It's still a great short story and I would definitely read it.
Everything a werewolf novel should be and more! Very emotional and super engaging! I love Mikayla's work and she puts a lot of heart and passion into creating these stories. I can't wait to read the next book!
I recieved a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
This is a good book a out facing your fears and starting again. The FMC is strong and caring whilst the MC is protective. Feelings come to a head and this makes for good reading. This book is worth a read.
Fantastic with lots of interesting things happening. A young woman wondering what things are really going on. A wolf that’s finding out some interesting information. Definitely a must read that’s fantastic. ❤️❤️📚👍

A wonderful story and characters. Filled with angst and witty, let’s not forget all the emotions too. Check it out, a must read. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
2.7 if I could be more specific.it was okay not captivating but a good fun read , too much going on at some point and just glossed past for me but I do prefer long slow burn books
This book felt a little hurried. It flew through time and was hard to keep up with how much time had passed. The plot was good and had a lot of decent qualities but it barely touched on a lot of major happenings. I would still recommend this book to readers that love the fated mate trope!
