I sit on the fence when it comes to Dr. Laura, but whether you love her or hate her, she can be interesting.

This is a book that explores human behavior within relationships. I genuinely think this book can be triggering for many depending on your upbringing. One thing I can say for sure is Dr. Schlessinger does not hold back when it comes to the repercussions of our own behaviors and how it can affect our relationships with our significant other as well as children. There is also an element faith, and religion, but intimately this is a great book for anyone who wants a relationship, improve their marriage or raise children to become functional adults without many of the mental trauma that is often carried in today’s society.

This has some okay advice. But I don’t think I want to read a book without knowing about the author again first. My bad.

earn self-esteem beggars vs choosers if don’t believe in self then self-doubt and willingness to accept subpar vs beautiful meaningful, sell no wine before its time same with sex, push to become more not less, support talk, children under valued thru divorce and remarriage, what women allow and permit, Rome is burning and most getting scalded, do the right thing is virtue, safe sex emotionally and physically, learn to share control, lose self in service to find self.

I've been listening to this on Audio and I'm having a hard time with it because I don't love her voice. To me she doesn't have an empowering voice about her. She does have some good advise but this is not my favorite.

Love her, or hate her, she has ideas. I read this and came away with some inspirations to keep my new marriage on the right road...I hope.

It's weird, I can't stand her show but her books are fabulous. She says a lot of things I wish I could have listened to 10 years ago.

It was OK.
At times it was too preachy and conservative for my taste but still good advice to follow for anyone who is interested in having better relationships (both men and women).
