Winter Crest has done it again. I am in love with this town. i liked the storyline but i wished it wasn’t so much repetition. Overall I would still recommend this book.
When I read the synopsis to this book. It was easy to figure out what Noel secret was. This book may also be a trigger for those who suffered any type of sexual abuse. It was a little predictable but there is a plot twist that I didn't see coming. Noel definitely had it ruff growing up. What's even more sad is that her mother knew what her stepfather was doing to her. Kingston coming into Noel life. Unknowingly reconnected her to someone she thought she'll never see again. Women like London are pitiful. Kingston dealt with London for eleven year's with no commitment. He was hesitant about her because his daughter Kamyrn didn't like her and she had good reason not to. London was a messy ass, sneaky hoe. She was in her feelings about Kingston leaving her alone and told secrets during Christmas dinner that cause a lot of drama. That dinner is where Noel came face to face with another part of her past that traumatized her, and where Kingston found out just how trifling London really was and also where Kingston was hurt, angry, and heartbroken after learning the truth about Noel.
Loved this book. Noel had a very rough life as a child. Being raped regularly by her stepdad resulted in her getting pregnant. Her mom not believing he forced himself on her cause her to put Noel out. With nowhere to go and no one to turn to she found shelter in abandon buildings and sometimes I'm the streets. After giving birth to her daughter she left her covered out in the cold. She was a child herself at the time and didn't think about what the best decision to make was. King found the baby and took her in and raised her as his own. Years later Noel and King crossed paths. She received the surprise of her life when she discovered the child she abandoned many year's ago had been found. Excited and scared at the same time. She had a growing relationship with King but couldn't bring herself to tell him the truth about her past. The truth came crumbling down and things didn't go well. Luckily after some time to think things over and a heartfelt conversation they were able to work things out. They got their happily ever after rekindling their family including the new edition.
Wooooooh chile the beginning of this book was so heartbreaking 💔! That had me in my feels. Noel mother was trifling AF and POS to let her daughter go thru this experience and poor Noel had no way to go! Yes she was young and yes she made a grave mistake because she could have made better choices vs. how she did the abandonment because there are outlets that handle things like this, but it was so disheartening!
King felt a connection years ago when he came to the rescue, and when he met Noel he felt a connection too! Now that London should have known after all these years if King didn’t commit then leave and get a life with her trifling self since she was dipping in the pool close to home! King’s dad was a POS!
There were so much drama that popped off and that sicko man got off too easy because he would have been taking a dirt nap!
Just happy everything came together and King and Noel got their HEA because baaaaby it was a close call with King’s stubborn behind, but I agree with him though, but some folks may think differently!
Noel couldn't catch a break. Her mammy turned a blind eye to what het stepfather was doing to her so she blamed Noel. Her mammy isn't trying to lose her her husband over her daughter she rather put her daughter out than to listen to her knowing she was telling the truth. Noel knew she needed to tell King the truth , but how do you say That my daughter? Especially when everyone in the family likes except for Aspen? London is a hater. How is Noel a homewreck and it's no home to be broken. King called Noel all kinds of names all because he didn't listen to her side of the story. London is a ish starter, that was uncalled for. I'm happy that Kinsley and Raheem husband is working. on their marriage. I'm also that Kamryn didn't let this affect her. King is a good man for taking in Kamryn and excepting Noel.
Oh my goodness, this book was difficult to read. …Noel’s childhood story was horrifying ‼️ For Noel to have endured such abuse, abandonment & and pregnancy without harboring bitterness is utterly amazing! Her abuser & mother should be repeatedly kicked in the face with bleach soaked cleats 🤬🤬😤 (yeah, I’m hotter than Jamaican fish grease)‼️ Nonetheless, sexual assault abuse & or rape of a minor with the consent of a parent/mother is sadistic & cruel. Thereafter, there’s at least three capable fixers in Winter Crest. 1800 Club LUXES…📲☎️🤷🏾♀️‼️Meanwhile, only in black families expect the unexpected at weddings, funerals & holidays gatherings 🧨. Who knew “it’s a small world afterall”, Aunt Rita?
From the moment Kingston picked up that baby girl I was all in. I had to know how this story unfolded and let me tell you this was an an amazing read, great storyline and an emotional roller coaster. I enjoyed every moment!
Noel had been through a lot as a teenager and Lord knows made a horrible decision. Thank God for Kingston being in the wrong place at the right time.
I’m so glad she was reunited with her daughter and found real love and her own family. Kingston was pissed when the truth was revealed but I was so happy he came around and they both got the happily ever after they deserved.
This Christmas standalone is lit. I was about to go through my phone at king on how he was doing my girl. I understand what Noel was going through she was a kid herself and didn't know what to do. But at least she stayed close by to see would somebody find her. Her step dad and momma needed their butt's whopped. And London should have known he didn't want her cause all them years and he still didn't make u his lady. I'm so in love with the happy ending. U did good on yet another book and I'm looking forward to reading more of them. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read
Growing up Noel just couldn’t catch a break. Her mom turned a blind eye to her step father sexually abusing her. Noel ends up homeless at fifteen, after her mom finds out she’s pregnant by her step dad. Homeless, alone, & living on the streets, Noel feels like she has no other choice but to abandon her baby. As soon as Kingston laid his eyes on Noel he was smitten. Not knowing Noel is the birth mother his daughter. The newborn baby girl he found abandoned behind a trash can that cold winter night eleven year ago. This was such a good read! I highly recommend!
I just love these Winter Crest Christmas stories, but they just aren’t long enough. I was also surprised to read about having hotel sleepovers. I thought only my family did that. Cause one time I suggested to a co-worker for her child she said she never heard of having one for kids. Then I explained to her that its easier than having all them kids running thru her house. She could just order pizza and wings for the kids and later they could go the indoor pool.
London was a fool. It ain't no way I'm going to be messing with someone for all them years and he don't make an effort to be more than just friends with benefits. Noel really did well for herself knowing she didn't have anyone to lean on. King was an upstanding guy cause most people would of left that baby right where it was. Kam finally got her Mother.
Loved this story…a rough past for Noel but she dug herself out of it….loved Noel’s role at the glow bar…it’s nice to see all of these places come alive and for the stories to overlap…shout-out to Kingston for being a stand up man cuzzzzzz now a days these men are just idk but they not Kingston
Noel went through a horrible time and with her being young made a mistake, this had a good storyline very sad in the beginning but as I stated love prevails and she meets King. I'm so happy things worked out to make a great Christmas story in Wintercrest on to the next one.
This right here had my heart heavy, but I loved every minute of it. Noel had a rough start in life, her mom and step dad were a POS. King found the one thing that would make him turn his life around and that was Kamyrn. When their worlds collide it was nothing short of love and miracles. ❤️❤️❤️
Ok I see you I love how you made a full circle for Noel she went from no family to a whole family with two babies I’m glad she didn’t spiral out control cause it’s two different parts of being Raped and Molested and it’s hard telling ur story great story line thanks again for giving us another banger
This was a sad but good story. You know rape is real and it has to be hard for the victims especially if they get pregnant as a result. I’m glad Noel found her daughter and real love in the process. King is the definition of a real man. I would read more books by this author.
From the beginning to the end of this book I was emotionally invested!!!! I'm walking the hall at work saying, no, no, no!!! I knew she should've come clean when she first met him, but that Christmas gathering, with London's trifling but!!! She wanted to hurt his mother as well. I'm glad he recognized her stepfather as a pedophile!!! Loved it!!!
Noel did what was best for Kamryn at birth. It seemed selfish, but it was better than what life was throwing her way. Kingston finding Kam was his saving grace. She settled him. Him meeting Noel eleven years later was fate. They deserved to be happy. Although things were rocky, they found true love, family dynamic, and happiness. Amazing read!
Oh wow, this was a great book, I loved Kingston and Noel. Noel had a hard childhood and did what she thought was right as a child. I’m glad Kingston was able to forgive her and love her like they both needed. Great great story
Honey, this book had me crying and saying awww lol. I loved this story so much. I won’t say to much but I’m so glad everything worked out in the end. Great job!!!
Loved the redemption storyline and how everything played out. Noel got her second chance and she was so deserving. Kingstons forgiveness was beautiful, even if did take him a minute. Went from tears to smiles, great holiday read!!
Such a good read. Noel's mother failed her. I'm so glad she met Kingston because she got a second chance with her baby girl. Kingston was so dope. Kam changed his life. Silas and London were so trifling and good riddance. Lol
I was so goat the truth came out, because it needed to be told. But, the audacity of the lever was beyond me😒. I’m glad it worked out in the end for everyone…I was hoping somebody at least smacked London once!
My heart broke for noel got what she went through. I wanted to beat her mama ass for that. But Noel never complained she did what she had to do to make it. I'm glad she found her daughter and was able to get a happy ending.
Aww I think I love this book more it brought tears to my eyes I’m glad everything worked out for the better. This was my first read and probably not my last from this author!
Great job. I loved it. Kingston and Noel. I loved them. Yes Noel went through a lot in her life. I was so happy that she got to work things out with Kingston and was able to be a part of her daughters life. I loved that for her though.
I really cried! This was a good book it really touched my heart as a mother I felt so bad for Noel and I always teach my children cherish life it's always ppl going through worst than you....Life is so fragile I'm so glad Noel got her happy ending
I love a redemption story. This storyline was beautiful with well written character development. I enjoyed and recommend this five star read. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Don't play with the King! I love his bond with Kamryn & his family. Noel had it hard, but she didn't let life harden her heart. I knew it was something off about London but she was extremely trifling for her actions and thoughts.
I am so happy that King and Noel worked it out. If she was upfront with King from the start, she would have never been separated from him and her daughter. Well, they are happily married with 2 kids instead of one. I love how they are with one another. Great Read!
